Transformers Trailer

I'm 50/50 on this one right now.

And whatever that player yahoo uses is horrendous. I was watching fullscreen HD and got an email, when I clicked the outlook notification, the player crashed (sound kept going though). Reloaded the page, had to start from the beginning since there's no freaking FF or RW. Stupid. And, my mouse is trapped on the screen the player is in, can't use my secondary monitor. If I alt-tab to apps on my secondary monitor, the player crashes. Typical Java garbage.
 
I had a look of amazement the entire time I watched it.

I loved the flames on Optimus but isnt that more a Rodimus trait?
 
I will reserve judgement till the final product is released but my initial reaction is that this did not feel like Transformers. Sure there were giant robots, but since they didn't let them talk in the trailer, they didn't seem to have any personality. The trailer looked like it could have been for godzilla or starship troopers or any other sci-fi type movie with large beasts threatening mankind. But I'm assuming that the actual movie won't be like this so hopefully the movie will do our beloved transformers justice.

Well said. Exactly how I feel, I just couldn't express it in my earlier post as I was too filled with rage by trying to use the crappy video player. 😉

I agree also.. I just hope they do them justice.. and give the robots the main focus in the movie.. and not focus on the realtionship between the human characters..
 
I kind of like the new look for the characters. In all honesty, I think keeping true to the cartoon from 20 years ago would have made them look kinda silly. However, I could have done without the flames on OP.
 
I have a feeling that this is going to suck hard for purists--from the robots shown in the trailers it looks like they're totally changing the story line. It would've been better if they just focused on the original Cybertron energy crisis and how the Earth has an abundant energy supply waiting to be exploited by the Decepticons. Oh wait...that wouldn't jive with Hollywood's view that our oil is almost gone. :roll:

It's a Michael Bay flick. I'm sure there'll be PLENTY of explosions.

lots of ****** blowing up. lots of fights. i do not want a fricken love story.

i have lowe expectations for the movie. but i still plan on going to see it when it is released!
