They share the film with human characters who are much more interesting, and that is very faint praise indeed.

This sums up the movie pretty well.

Batman was originally a comic. The latest two batman movies were freakin awesome. Should that movie be gayified so kiddies can watch?

Your logic is made of fail.

You also realise that when his offspring grow up they can watch the movie then. I daresay they will be rebelling and smoking pot by then anyway, cause they were smothered as children

Obviously, you dont have kids.

Are you saying that if you have kids, you shouldnt enjoy the batman movie?

Screw you Michael Bay. You just made a freaking Transformers movie that I can't take my 7-year old son to see because you loaded it up with characters calling each other bitches and pussies, a male dog humping another male dog...twice, a robot humping a girl's leg, and other stupid crap that has no business being in a movie based on a kid's toy. You were right on the edge of the line with the first Transformers but you just destroyed the line with the crap you put in this one.

edit: On a side note, we were in a theater loaded with college and high school kids. I didn't feel out of place because I'm in my thirties. I felt out of place because I didn't have an iPhone. It was like some sort of cult in there.

Kids dont own the world.
No one would watch it if its pg.

Transformers > your kid

Edit: Why the fuck should they pussy down movies so your brats can watch? People like you make me sick..... oohhh will someone please think of the children..... waahh wahhh wahhh

Your sheltering your kids, They are going to get owned in high school. If you home school them, they are going to get owned as adults.

And chances are they have heard people talk like that already! Do you let your kid watch discovery channel? Chances are they have heard David attenbourough talk about animals mating.

Go wrap your kids head up in duct tape.

Another Edit: Its people that pussy their kids that gave the world child hood obesity and nut allergies. When i was a kid nut allergies were unheard of. Only one kid had asthma.
You shelter your kids they are going to be weak. I blame the lame parents.

kids need to climb trees, scrape their knees, learn a musical instrument (fucking guitar hero does not count), learn to ride a motor bike, play a team sport.

But they still need to make films and activites for adults. Transformers 1 was for adults. Transformers 2 is for adults. If you child wants to see transformers you can buy the original series and the beastwars spin off on dvd.

Who the hell do you think the target audience for the movie is? To quote CNN:

Memo to Michael: It's a toy movie. Your audience is predominantly teen and pre-teen. My kids don't need to see your salivating soft-porn fantasies or your reactionary militaristic politics.

Batman was a superhero movie- I don't remember them showing boobs, using unneeded language, and making crude jokes for no reason in any of the movies. Can you define "gayified"?

gayified - having to make everything safe for kiddies.

People who are like this

I like violent movies, i dont want violent movies to change because it offends parents.

Watch the above vids.
The below vid expresses opinions from stupid parents (watch the round table debate at the end) Instead of controlling what their brats play on xbox they want to control content.

Wow. Ok internet tough guy, if I let my son watch the first Transformers which was PG-13 and other PG-13 movies how is that making a 'pussy' out of my kid? There are other PG-13 movies that I won't let my son watch yet because they cross the line of what I deem is acceptable for him to watch at this point in his life. Transformers 2 also crosses that line because of lines like an Autobot (a good guy) calling someone a pussy.

It isn't about sheltering, it's about parenting. I'm not calling for a boycott of the movie, Michael Bay to get fired, or any other stupid crap. I expected a big, dumb stupid action movie and we got a big dump stupid action movie. I'm saying Bay screwed up and went overboard by putting in crap that not only felt out of place but was absolutely unnecessary. Like all the scenes with Anthony Anderson from the first movie only worse. Mudflap and Tracks are like a vulgar ghetto version of Jar Jar Binks.

Another example would be my son seeing Batman Begins but not Dark Knight. Dark Knight crossed that line because of the Joker's sadistic style of violence and Dent's Two Face. That didn't bother me though because Batman has always been a more adult comic (especially the Dark Knight version) and the actions from Joker and Two Face didn't feel out of place in the Batman universe.

Oh, and that super long analysis you wrote of me, my children, and my parenting style without knowing jack about me or my kids. Not only is it ridiculous but every single statement was wrong Dr. Phil.

LOL, no kidding. I guess some people will like it, mostly those who liked the first one. But I seriously heard some people defend this movie (pre-release), saying that the first one wasn't very good BUT THEY ARE TOTALLY GOING TO MAKE THIS ONE BETTER.

All I have to say to that is, fool me once, shame on... shame on you, fool me... you can't get fooled again.

It's called fanboy-ism. I still stand behind my belief that the Animated Transformers movie will not be topped by anything Michael Bay does.

You missed my point completely.

If you stop your kid from watching a movie because its too violent is a good choice. Your a good parent.

Making comments that a movies content should be changed so your kid can watch it pisses me off.... ( i thought this is what you meant, i could be wrong i will reread your posts.)

My experience with stupid mothers fueled my rant. <-- watch the vids

It happened here a couple of years ago, a soccer mum ran over her child in her suv, backing out of her driveway, then tried to get all 4x4s banned. <-- watch the vids.

My main point is, parents need to get their kids ready for the world, not change the world to suit the kid. This is a concept that many parents these days fail to grasp (not necessarily you Queas)

Many mothers gasp in horror when i tell them that i used to take out an aluminum boat with a 6hp motor by myself to go fishing... when i was 9.

My dad spent ages teaching me how to safetly operate the motor and what to do in an emergency etc etc. All the dos and donts etc etc. At 24 i have owned 3 boats and have made a profit on doing them up, i used the money made to buy a bigger boat each time, and have caught lots of fish, because my old man hardened me up from a young age.

My mates son who is 8 or 9 cant understand the world with out a playstation.

But my point remains(before i launch into another rant) Those ads have the complete wrong message. They should be telling parents to teach their kids to look both ways when crossing a road. Not blame a motorist, when the stupid kid steps out in front of traffic.

And im sorry if you thought i meant you, during the rant, i meant parents in general. Haha i am an old fart, im 24 and i say "bloody kids these days"

I don't think you're getting it. I'm pretty sure the point that Queasy is making is that "these portions in the movie that make it unwatchable are practically useless and really serve no point in the movie." In other words, it would be better off to remove them for the sake of humanity and then his kid could also watch it ;).

I'm on the fence about seeing it tonight. I love Transformers... didn't really care much for the first movie, but damnit... Skyfire is a SR-71 Blackbird, and Blackbirds are bad ass.

Whoa didn't realize I'm in the minority in liking it. I thought the humor was funny, but probably because I am a college aged kid. Everyone else in the theater seemed to enjoy it too (lots of laughter), but 90% of everyone was also around my age.

It's certainly not a great movie, but it was entertaining and was worth the trip. I wouldn't watch it again but I liked it.

Saw it last night, had to leave before the movie was half way over. I actually liked the first movie, but this was a steaming piece of shit. To top it off, the theater I was watching it in ONLY had center channel. which means, no surround, no base, and barely any music. All I got to listen to was dialog for the entire time I watched the movie. Left to complain and get my money back. Oh ya, I asked for and GOT a refund on this movie and have zero intention of going back to "finish" the movie out even with the sound working correctly at a different theater. From what I saw, it was crappy enough to skip.

Pearl Harbor Sucks

Lol! I agree though. Transformers was horrid and I'm sure this one will be too. Michael Bay sucks indeed!

Bay is worthy for one and one movie only- The Rock.

Unsurprisingly, The Rock sucked ass too. Go figure. Sure, it's good for a few ridiculous one-liners, but even those are popular ONLY because they are ridiculed for their idiocy.
