While the claims have not been proven correct, they at this point have not been proven false either. It is the word of handful of vets vs. 250 vets. If Kerry filled out the 180 form and released all of his military records, this would be put to rest very quickly.

What nonsense. ONeill was desperately trying to dodge a question about his co author Corsi, who has been throughly descredited by his remarks about Catholics and wishing John Paul would die. ONeill is now trying to pretend Corsi played a minor role in the book and anyone who reads the transcript will see ONeill just refusing to answer the question about Corsi.

As always, guys, the burden of proof lies with the accusers, in this case, the swiftboat vets org. They've proven nothing, other than that they hate Kerry for protesting the war... that they're financed by far right Republicans... and that what they're spouting is a highly partisan form of sour grapes...

The notion that anybody, public figure or not, should have to defend themselves against this kind of attack is offensive, to say the least. It's not surprising, however, given the source, and the fact that they've even attacked their own in a similar fashion....

Despite the Mike Reagan tag line in Rip's signature, it's the right wing of the Republican Party who've proven time and again that they'll do anything to win. No blow is too low, no trick too cheap, no innuendo too sleazy. Fasten your seatbelts, we'll be encountering a tidal wave of it as the election draws nearer...
