Train narrowly misses woman on track

Did anyone else think the way she kind of stumbled and fell over was humorous?

At least she's okay and mad props to T employees for stopping in time.

Looked like that old white guy could have died too if the train didn't stop in time. He stuck his head and arms out and even got knocked back as the train stopped. He's lucky too.

On the news this AM, the guy from the MBTA said they were opportunities for close-ups. Your answer sounds more believable.

Well in order for the cameras to give you a closeup of someone they need to know where that person is... hence the tracking 😛

i thought it was funny too. ive done that swagger and fall before.

but really... "Heroic train operator"? she put on the brakes. id be "heroic car operator" all the time if thats all it took to be heroic.

If anyone should get heroic status from that it should be the engineers that designed the braking system 😛

It's heroic to stop an hero?... I actually agree with you; just wanted to say that randomly.

I was going to come in here and say trains don't narrowly miss... They're on a fixed track; it's not like they're aimed. They either hit or don't, but apparently this story wanted to mess my whole thinking up.

Dumbass lucky drunk woman. Being local, I've seen additional footage that shows more of when she fell in the pit and how close she came to touching the 3rd rail and frying herself.

The train operator is heroic b/c she reacted quickly and if she wasn't completely alert, an additional second would have costed the woman's life.

Meh, I thought that too but she did do her job correctly and diligently when it really mattered. She should be commended for that and if the transportation company wants to do it by calling her heroic then let them.
