Trailer for upcoming Fox Show Lucificer... yeah that guy.

Meh, guy doesn't play a good part and I personally don't need to watch this as I have meet the real Satan and blew his balls off. Literally! He was a rapist and murderer. So I don't need to watch a show that pretends to know evil.

They could make a Jesus show. I mean something like the classic Highway To Heaven. What? Jesus isn't cool enough for you? :colbert:

I have all kinds of shows to keep up with. Under The dome is coming up, The Last Ship, and The Strain. Then I'm only on season two of Fallen Skies.

Am I the only one a bit unsettled by the idea of portraying Satan as a charming, witty, likable character?

"the Devil is a gentleman who never goes where he is not invited..."

or this might be the original quote

"The Devil is a gentleman; he never comes without invitation."
~John Clem

but think about it wouldn't he have to be charming to get people to "sell their souls".

.....

I guess you never watched Reaper? I loved the devil in that show.
I suppose you didn't, based on the ratings it was like me and twelve other people that watched it 😛

I have no interest in this series, though. I love Sandman, but haven't read the Lucifer series (not written by Gaiman), and even then, it seems like they're just kinda borrowing the premise of that comic for the series.

According to the premise reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the potential series will greatly differ from the comic book version of the character featured in the Sandman and his own solo comic. Lucifer will be featured in a CSI-like or Elementary style television show with supernatural elements.
This is fun though.
On May 28, 2015, AFA website One Million Moms launched a petition to prevent the show's airing, claiming the good version of the Devil "disrespects Christianity and mocks the Bible."[12]

By June 1, 2015, the petition has gained 11,000 signatures. Against it, the character's co-creator, Neil Gaiman, reacted on this way: "Ah. It seems like only yesterday (but it was 1991) that the “Concerned Mothers of America” announced that they were boycotting SANDMAN because it contained Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans characters. It was Wanda that upset them most: the idea of a Trans Woman in a comic book… They told us they were organising a boycott of SANDMAN, which they would only stop if we wrote to the American Family Association and promised to reform. I wonder if they noticed it didn’t work last time, either…"
How about you assholes just don't watch it? 🙄

i really liked the comic book a LOT, and was really excited until i read what the show is actually going to be. lame. "loosely" based on the book is an understatement.

I might watch the pilot if it comes on some kind of streaming or I happen to see it on TV, but the whole "cop" thing is a real turn off. I'd much prefer if it was simply about the devil charming his way into people's lives. I don't need some idiotic sense of justice being served by the first of the fallen angels. That is just stupid.
