I sold a working motherboard (I was using it prior to shipping)...I am told it wouldn't boot and questioned if the northbridge chipset was bad.
Apparently the fan won't spin now. Still I don't think this would kill the chipset regardless unless ran like that for quite a while...supposedly the BIOS even is inaccessible.
What would be a good solution? The trader has only a few trades.
He suggested splitting the difference and he ships it back...I somehow think it's a $10 northbridge fan that either died in transit or unpacking/mounting...they are rather fragile to begin with.
ideas welcome...if I didn't just drop $540 on my puppy getting bit at dog park I'd probably be more willing to just let it go.
