My boss gave me a pair of tickets to the MTV movie awards because she doesn't want to go... they're VIP seats (free refreshments and snacks in the VIP section, w00t!), section 6, row R. Because I'm not a huge fan of Lindsay Lohan, I put them up on the "barter" section of craigslist and received a few offers, including:

- Both players of Sony digital audio equipment ($320+ in value), hundred or so in cash, and a free month or two at Sports Club LA (retail $150 per month, stars like Leo DiCaprio and Tyra Banks work out there)

- $300 cash

- 2 Lakers v. Pistons playoff tickets

My sister and Mom are flying in to visit me this weekend, and I could also give the tickets to my sister (18) and have my ex (19) take her to the show... so I'm undecided at the moment, what would you do?


EDIT: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH just got offered 2 box seat tix to the Lakers game next Tuesday... I'm tempted to make up an excuse to my lil sis but that would be mad shady, and she'd be crushed... 🙁 🙁 🙁
 
I'd say take the money, but then again im a greedy S.O.B. 😉
The choice is yours though....make it a good one.

That's what I'm leaning heavily towards. Fiance is a HUGE Lakers fan, and this might be the last chance to see Shaq, Malone, Payton and Kobe play together. If he can't go, I think I could probably sell the Lakers tix on eBay or something for more $$$ than I'd get for the MTV movie awards.

At the same time, it'd be kinda cool to let my sister see something LA-ish like that.

Not just my ex, my ex and my sister. My sister saw pics of my ex and thinks he's cute. 😛 So in a sense, I'd be setting her up on a date with him... he's a nice guy.
 
lakers v. pistons hands down. i mean you can catch the movie awards like a million times on mtv anytime.

I personally could care less about MTV or their awards, but to me it sounds like that's just something too good to pass up. It's kind of like how I don't really care for NASCAR but if someone sent me some VIPish tickets to Bristol or Daytona I'd be there in a heartbeat.
 
Lakers vs. Pistons tickets. How are the seating and which game is this? I hope you're not trading for Game 7 tickets ...

^^^good advice^^^. If they are not game 7 take the tickets and sell for cash.
