Just e-mailed my invoice from newegg, so hopefully I can mail in my cards by monday or tuesday (right when Oblivion come out 🙁)

I tried to check my queue status and it was asking for billing info? I'm like, "Huh?", so I checked my e-mail and the notice was there. Went from #18 in the N563 (7900GT CO) queue to Valhalla. I've paid my bill and sent a PDF of my Newegg invoice, so I should be rolling soon.

eVGA = da shiznatch, yo!

i recieved my confirmation email today for both my cards (#33 & 34). since they were purchased three weeks apart, i'm thinking that i should send in the older one bundled with their motherboard (1/7/05) and use the newer one until the 7900GT OC SC arrives and then send in the newer one. that way i can use one card and my system won't be down of two weeks or whatever. i guess i should call their support and see if that's cool. anyway, the step up program's awesome. even this mb's pretty decent 😉 .

update: just got off the phone with a sales rep. since the my older card was bundled with their mb, i get to keep the mb so the upgrade is costing me $14.95 for that one.

the second card i bought for $299.00 so upgrading that one is going to be $65.00.
you have fourteen days to submit your card from your email date notification to qualify. if you send in your card with something like USPS Priority mail, your looking at approximately one week turn around time.

btw, you get to keep any games you got with the card.

i can update to a killer sli setup up for $80.00. This program ROCKS!

Okay, so I faxed my sales receipt/invoice to eVGA around 11:00 AM EST today. How long does it take eVGA to confirm receipt of this fax?

In your case, about a month or so. 😛

I had sent the online invoice to them today as well. Let's see .. when we get a confirmation. This thread has been updating us about all events as and when they happen.

i doubt we're going to get any confirmation emails until Monday for those of us that completed the step up process late friday or today.

I was 21 in queue on friday. Got my approval and emailed them my invoice friday afternoon. Ill update when i hear something else from them. Although i may wait 10 days or so to send in my card so i can play some Oblivion first!

Anyone get their RMA approved yet (after sending your invoice/receipt)?

I sent mine in early Friday morning but no replies yet. And yeah, most likely there will be no confirmations until Monday or Tuesday . . .

I'm just going to wait until I get my 7900 to play Oblivion. I figure that since I've waited this long, an extra week or so won't make much difference.

So I just read eVGA's RMA policy and I noticed this part:

EVGA'S VOID WARRANTY POLICY:
----------------------------------------------
By way of example product received from customers evidencing any of the following conditions are NOT eligible for "in warranty" replacement:
-- Inadequate packaging
Some examples are:
>> Multiple products packed into a single box without separators to prevent contact with adjacent products.
>> Products packed in boxes without protective cushioning.
>> Products shipped in Styrofoam peanuts.
>> Products packed without anti-static protective bags.
-- Products where the EVGA Serial Number has been removed or defaced.
-- Physical damage to the product i.e. a broken or dented printed circuit board assembly.
-- Components added or removed from the printed circuit board.

It's funny because my 7800GT was shipped without cushions, anti-static bag and with styrofoam peanuts.

Ya, mine too, from NEWEGG.

So WTF can we pack our cards with if we can't use styrofoam peanuts? Air packets?

I fully intend to include the original box and stuff with my cards, and will pack them in the same box to save a bit on shipping.

Woot!! Got my RMA acceptence this morning. Of course, I didn't bring my vid card so I won't be able to ship it out until tomorrow. 🙁

As for what to use for packaging, if they're gonna complain about packing peanuts, just use wadded pages from an old newspaper. That should provide enough protection and not be a static risk. I'm not sure about the whole anti-static bag thing, though. They don't put their cards into them, so why should we have to?

I wouldn't worry about it as long as you do pack it well. I wouldn't just toss it in a Priority mailing box without any additional packaging and send it off. You could always take it to the UPS store and let them do it for you if your worried about it.

Got my RMA e-mail today. Won't be able to ship it out until Wednesday, though. No biggie. While playing with the 7900GT I already have, I realized that other than Quake 4, I don't have any games to play that I haven't finished already.
