WTF, why does toyota insist on using the same cheapo CC swithch on all models? There is clearly room for CC on that steering wheel, why don't they build it in there?

Dude, the CC stalk works! I had it on my '95 Camry and the same one is on my dad's Highlander. Why change a good thing? Up to set/accelerate. Down to decelerate/resume IIRC. Press the button to arm. Simple and effective.

the thing on the left, it does cruise, windshield wipers, blinkers, high beams.

Ohh, that damn thing is too friggin' complex. Too much sh!t on one stalk and not very intuitive.

For the Toyota, that one stalk has one function. Cruise and that's all.

Nissan has never had a strong large truck sales history. now when Nissan/Datson made the small truck they sold a bunch of them. Toyota is a bit different, their yearly Tundra sales have been climbing, and in my honest opinion the only reason Toyota truck sales have not been a serious threat to the big 3 is because Toyota never made a truck that competeted directly against them. Im talking about Engine size/HP, Towing weight and over all size.

This new truck from toyota has the same size engine and towing as my GMC K1500 does.

Nissan makes some of the best trucks in the market no doubt. Their sliding bed rail system > Toyota's bed.

lol at the anti-gm truck guys. They are comparing trucks, not corporations. I swear, Toyota (looks-wise)can crap in a bucket and sell it like hotcakes. Oh wait, they did, it's called the Scion.
I would give it props if they increased the radaitor capacity (current one is puny) same with the differential.
Hopefully they did more then the engine, and trans, frame upgrades for the towing capacity increase. Real life towing capacities vary on every factor.
This is why only Chevy and Dodge 2500+ and Ford F-250's and up tow on a regular basis.
Heavy duty pickups are not niche marketing. Profit margins are high, and they all carry a huge customer loyalty base.

Wow that is the ugliest truck I have ever seen. Toyota used to have one of the better looking trucks, this thing is beyond repulsive. I seriously can't express in words how ugly I think that truck is.

IMO, Chevy now has the only really GOOD looking trucks. Nissan's look OK, but Toyota is now the new king of fugly.

EDIT: Just when I thought things couldn't get any uglier in this world - I clicked on the third pic. Wow, just fvcking wow - that dash is even uglier then that atrocious front end. And then, through the entire description - not once is torque mentioned. Sorry but saying it can tow 10,000 lbs isn't enough for me. I want to know how readily it will pull those 10,000 lbs up Colorado's mountain passes. Pitiful.

10,000 pound rated tow capacity may sound impressive but it really only brings them up to a 1/2 ton. the f-150 is rated for just under 10k, the f-250/350 is rated for 15k with a hitch and the hitch is the limiting factor. with a fifth wheel option the same frame and powertrain is rated for 20k. 25k if you delete the pickup box.

From sitting in my friends Titan, the interior is cheap, and I just don't "feel" the truck overall. The one thing I liked about it was that 5.6 is a beast. Other than that from personal preference to overall aesthetics I prefer my other friend's F150 or even the Ram.

call me GM fanboy all you want, but i would still pick the Silverado over any of the other 3 trucks mentioned.

the GMC is nice, rode/drove one all summer for work, and it can haul and carry weight, off road etc. the truck hasnt had any issues and its been BEAT on hardcore.

one thing domestic manuf's know how to make other than trannys are Trucks.

So you're saying that Edmund's is a bad site for car reviews? I'm don't see what you're getting at. My opinion is only strengthened by Edumunds after I've sat and drove the Ford, Nissan, and Dodge's and the Nissan by far has the best "punch" which is what I look for in a truck. If you're going to cry about the cupholders, then you really shouldn't be driving a truck.

Change of general opinion is slow, just because Titan didn't win MT TOTY doesn't mean anything, because most of the opinion of that year was with the mindset that the F-150 was still the best (notice how close the Edmund's voting was skewed b/c of Ford fanboys, there are more of them out there than Nissan, that's fact, and yet the Nissan still won). F-150 is still a great truck, but the Titan lb for lb and $ for $ is still a better truck.

I can see your viewpoint, you've always gone with GMC and are loyal. Or maybe it's a cultural thing, all your friends will only guy domestic, so you do too. Or maybe you define a truck by how it looks, you like the GMC look.

You should try out some of the others, and see what you think. I think you'll find that most of the imports can do what you described above just as well, if not better. You may even save a bunch of $ too.

Sat in the Titan, didnt like the feel of it just felt weird.
