Ford dismissed the speculation that it could slip to third place. ?Ford doesn?t have objectives to be No. 1, or No. 2 or No. 9,? said George Pipas, Ford manager for U.S. sales analysis.
?Our objectives are building great products and improving the profitability of our business,? he said.

How can you be in a car thread and not know that GM sells the most vehicles in the world?
Ford is not doing so hot, but GM is really making strides. I wonder if the day will come when GM is dethroned...
Ah, OK.Originally posted by: NFS4
"Worldwide" sales would include all brands. Besides, the brands you mentioned are relatively low-volume.

Toyota is gonna be #1 and there is nothing GM or Ford or any other company can do about it.
Toyota has a reputation of putting out good/reliable cars, while the other manufacturers were lacking.
I wouldn't be surprised if Honda beats Ford.

Nope, we done have any of those over here. AFAIK the only GM brands we get are Saab and Opel/Vauxhall."GM" sales include Opel and all those other brands they have in europe. I don't even know if they have Chevy's and pontiacs over there (well except for maybe the Corvette)

The biggest seller for Ford is the F-150, Honda doesn't have a model to compete with it.
