Toyota Camry vs. Honda Accord

well a friend of mine wants my opinion on what brand new car he should buy.

So, should he get a Camry or Accord? give specific reasons if you can plz ......

Honda performs better, but UGLY (-)
Toyota looks better (+)
Toyota held resale value even higher than Honda (+)

Maybe its subjective, but I love the way camery look.
The New Accord looks strange, even after 2 years of getting use to it.
However, I feel more alive driving an accord than I do driving a camery....the Japanese Buick

The latest Accord looks ok compared to the 2002 design. But overall I do prefer the looks of the Camry over the Accord. But it yells out family man that much more, imo.

The Accord coupe looks rediculous.

the accord looks a bit bland, but yeah, the camry looks like the kind of car a 40 year old mom would drive. I dont really like the looks of either car, but accord looks better in a subtler way

i'd take the accord anyday. the styling might be a bit off...but imho honda consistently gives their cars lasting style...that is, they look good 20 years from the day you bought them. accord coupe looks sexy.

The Accord has an interior that is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the camry. Not to mention that it's more powerful, faster, and handles better than the Camry.

Aint nothing sexy about the accord. My opinion would be to get the camry even with that hanging tail pipe.
How many people nowadays keep a car for 20 years.

Technically Accord is a bit cheaper just by going through the manufacturers websites....
I'd just pick the one that you get a better deal with ...... including cost of insurance. I personally like accord's drivetrain but I like camry's looks and interior better. I don't like the integrated dashboard that the accord has. Either way you can't lose......those are the "safe" cars to buy if you plan on keeping it for a long time with cost of ownership in mind as well as reliability.

Hmm the american Accord really looks ugly - our Accord (click Projektor) looks finally good, but your base accord cost as much about the same as a VW Polo here, which is sized below the Golf. So I could do with the ugliness.
that's crazy. germany's accord is america's tsx. crap, i wish i could pick up a tsx for the price of an accord.

I've got a 2004 Accord and didn't even consider a Camry, due to cost, included features, and styling. The Accord's 4-cylinder drivetrain is amazingly smooth, even under heavy acceleration, and the 5-speed manual trans is the best I've ever driven. The dashboard design is tons better than Camry too.

My vote goes toward Accord.

well the base pice of the accord is ?22600 that is about $27000

dude, all variant of both cars are UGLY! big fat ugly.

I would pick the Accord however because of it suprisingly lavish interior and peppier I4 engine. (dunno know about the V6 for both, but the Honda 2.4L is goooood....)

They are both ugly boats....but you cant't gowrong with either....

Aside from looks, i have driven the 2004 Accord EX. It's a nice car, but I still liked my aunts 1993 Accord better....

If you don't like to drive, the Toyota Camry is the best car on the planet. Pure isolation, for those who believe ignorance is bliss. If you like to drive, you'll find the Accord to be much more engaging. So basically if you look forward to getting in the car, the Accord is better, and if driving is a chore, then the Camry is better.
