heh doubt that.

more likely it did not go as high as they thought it would. so instead of losing a few thousand on the sale they would rather screw over this one guy.

But i wonder if they thought something like this would happen? I wonder how many thousand people have emailed them? or called them?

IF/When it hits the papers/tv they will cave. thats just to much negative publicity. HEH i would love to find out what happens to the people.

refresh my memory ...how did the other incident end?

i think the dealer caved in the end

...and then the guy refused it.

Did he?! Why did he do that?

Because he realized it wasn't the amazing deal he thought it was. Pretty funny, thousands of nerds threatening the dealership to force them to hold up their end of the bargain, only to be made fools of by the buyer.

The Towbins are a bunch of crooked ass clowns and have been pulling this kind of crap for years. While you at it email everybody over at this site also. Tell them to take that ass Chopper off late night TV while your fighting for your injustice. Choppercars

that car looks so badass in blue.

This guy will probably have a hassle to get it, but in the end, he will definitely win the car. eBay is a contract, and he has every right to get the car that he won fair and square.

good luck to him! :)

They claim the car is sold, it is very unlikely he will end up with that car.

Negatory, Mark Mitsu first claimed the evo was sold locally but then someone in the area drove by the dealership and saw it so Mark was SOL on that lie. IF they did sell they car, I think they will be selling him another for the same price. :D

Their complete terms as per the site:

We reserve the right to cancel all bids and end an auction early should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. The following terms of sale apply to all of our auctions.

Payment Terms: The successful high bidder will submit a $1,000 non-refundable deposit within 2 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 5 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Payment Methods: Cash, certified check, wire transfer, or 3rd-party financing.
Fees and Taxes: Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.

I just called Infiniti Consumer affairs about this, spoke with a guy by the name of Romero (sp?) and told him about the situation, gave him a link to the thread, and he was in total agreement that it is better to lose $3-4K on a car than get all this press!

He's going to look into the situation and give the dealership a call...

I think calling Infiniti Consumer affairs will work better than emailing the dealer at this point.
