Hey Guys,
I'm doing the one in NJ on the 20th, can someone suggest some good clothes ? I was looking for compression shirts, shorts, gloves and good shoes for this event. I started looking, but have no idea what is good. Its going to be a bit cooler by then so I want to make sure the comprression gear will keep me dry and warm as possible.
is this cookie live-tweeting the race?
great job, guys, and great pics. looks like a blast! were there any electricity based obstacles? i had heard they had something like that in the past. i might have to look into one of the east coast races though i think it's too late for me to do the 20 oct in one nj.
Yeah but everyone went through balls out *expecting* to be shocked anyway. eg: it's the mental game that matters; can you do it.
Mmmm.... dry socks....
If you want, we can rig up a spark plug wire for you to touch on a running car to see what it's like. It's really not a big deal. :awe:
That's what my dad suggested. LOL
He also said when I go visit early next month I can practice with the electric fence.
I think I might actually take him up on that offer, because if I don't I'm going to be just as chicken-shit for that obstacle in February too.
Electric fence isn't nearly as big a jolt because the length of the circuit has alot of resistance to it.
Hey! It's a start!![]()
I started with putting keys into electrical outlets at 5 years old![]()

Slightly tempted. Someone my age should probably NOT be tempted to put metal objects into outlets to see what it feels like!!
The pics are cool, but this thread begs for a write-up from one of you participants!
