Curious if anybody here knows about this Total Transformation program. I've been hearing it on the radio and I've read the webpage but as anything that's "secret", I'm a little leary.

i read this and it helped us, though my child wasn't crazy willful (and only i read it, not my wife, so she never employed any of the methods and still wonders why my daughter doesn't listen to her):

it might be available in your local public library along with other books on the topic. it might be worth it to research the topic and possible solutions for free from resources like this before paying for it.

I hear those ads all the time. In addition to my natural skepticism, I don't trust any company that claims it is willing to give you its product for free... which they do in every ad.

I would look at the free claim as a rebate, but it says you have to answer every question and there are 9 lessons and you are expected to take 30 minutes to answer each so 9*30 minutes = 4.5 hours to fill out the rebate form. Given that a 5 minute rebate is redeemed only about 50% of the time and i can see how it they can claim it is free and make a profit.

Well, if it's just a few words, then why are there 4.5 hour worth of DVD's??

And is it some crap where you just keep telling the kid, "Yes, honey, you are right and I am wrong!" which I think is crap too. How else do you stop an argument outside of a Colt Delta Elite 10mm w/ polished nickel barrel?

Social media is a biggie lately. She uses facebook to hop to instagram to hop to twitter, etc. We keep telling her we need to follow her if she's gonna do that otherwise a few nude photos, curse words and choice libel and grandma & grandpa are calling wonder what the F's going on with our daughter.

On top of the rolling eyes, not cleaning room, etc. etc. etc. She just doesn't "get it."

Want to know what I would do, take "everything" out of her bedroom. The only thing should be a mattress on the floor, and that is it.

Outline a set of duties. When she preforms the duties, she gets her stuff back.

Ya, we've gone over all of that. Have a cell phone for her I've been paying the extra $9.95 on verizon for about 8 months that she's been without. We caught her and her friends dropping F-bombs back & forth like rain drops and we gave her 1 chance, then took it the 2nd time it happened.

Now it's ipod Touch and similar situation but we' social media. (Ain't social media great?)

We've taken it here & there and then she just gets miserable. Locks herself in her room. We open the door. She turns off the lights. ETc. etc. It's just typical post Y2K bullsh!t.

Texas hiker.....agreed, though extreme measures like that are usually good for an hour or a day, then they become retaliatory when the kid decides if you go minimal, they go minimal. When you take them to the point they have nothing to lose......today's kids take that literally. I ain't kiddin. My generation would've freaked without radio, TV, etc. Today, they simply don't give a sh!t.

No you're not. It's not a physical thing. It's a respect thing. If it becomes physical, call the police.

You have the ability to make her life very unpleasant, like Texas said. No phone, computer, tv, designer clothes, $$, favorite foods/eating out,......Call a professional and get an educated/experienced answer. And get recomendations because they all aren't the same.

Bonus for me, the wife is a fam/marriage counselor. Convinced me that the bark collar wasn't the best way.:sneaky:
