Toshiba laptop 1005-S157 back in stock at amazon

Did anyone find the 3005-S307/4 anywhere? Most places are out of stock and the ones in stock are really not good deals. Anyone knows if they are going to come out with one that has a 8x/4x/24x CDRW/DVD? I am trying to keep the weight down at 6lb. Thanks.

Its only a celery 1.06GHZ. I went for the Inspiron instead as well for the video card and for the non-celery CPU.

This is the latest mobile Celeron which is really a Pentium 3 chip. It has 256K cache and bus speed of 133MHz, just like the P3. The new mobile P3 chips have 512K cache and a few more tweaks. So anyone who says "this is just a celery" is full of you know what.

I bought this at Circuit City several weeks ago when they had $100 toshiba rebate, $100 CC rebate, $200 AMEX pricematch to Office Depot, and $200 CC pricematch to thamselves when they lowered the price $200 two weeks later. Final cost 499. Nice laptop, now I have to go wireless to use it in front of the TV downstairs.
