Torrent Ratio

No Lifer
Like the topic says. I generally aim for a 1:1 ratio, but I won't leave my client open forever to get that. I'm also not as particular if there's a ton of seeders.

it's an odd choice for something to have sex with, but i guess all that time on the high seas really messes with your libido. ARRRRRR

Depends on what it is, if it's for archival, then I leave it till catestrophic hard drive failure resulting in data loss.

If not, then I remove after a week, if ratio after a week isn't at least 1, then until it is 1:1.

I generally don't worry too much about specific ratios..mostly lengths of time.

>1 if the ratio is tracked. Very little if it isn't. If a torrent is rare and I want to keep it going, I'll seed for a month or so.

10 to 20:1. Usually if something is good I seed it forever, if it sucks I'll delete it right away so no one else has to put up with it.

I barely seed. My connection takes a shit-kicking when uploading at anything over 25kbp/s. It's ridiculous.

If ratio is tracked, 1.5:1
If it isn't I'll seed at unlimited speed while I'm downloading and then maybe another 30m - 1hr afterwards.

Who said anything about games?

What are you seeding family pictures?
