I saw the ortho yesterday and he thinks I have a small tear in the labrum. Going back for MRI in a week. Just as I was making some serious gains, this happens and now I am hoping for the best. He didnt say to stop lifting for the time being but I am kind of nervous to continue. The only thing that hurts to lift is chest which I havent done in over a month. Would it be wise to just lay off all together until Nov 9th when I will be getting the results or keep going but keeping it light?

Wow, that seriously sucks. What were your symptoms? Was it just the pain or any noises and stuff?

Its always had a popping sound and the pain set in 2 months ago after lifting chest. Now its just a dull burning as long as I dont do any type of pushing with that arm.

If it hurts, don't do it. Otherwise, go for it. It may be prudent to dial things back in general a little bit, but as long as it doesn't hurt, you should be okay.

I tore a labrum and could not even ride a bike.

Mine isnt too bad. It only hurts when I lift chest. My RoM is still the same just a burning and some weakness when pushing. Dr. doesnt think it is to bad since I can still move my arm with little pain.

Take your alpha male douche crap out of here alky

WTF you talking about. SociallyChallenged thinks somehow he is like the only knowledgable person here.

I had the same issue and was simply reporting how I wasn't as lucky as the OP. The OP even responded to my comment in kind yet both him and now YOU feel the need to troll on me.

BTW being H&F, a bit of alpha male should be expected anyway so I have no idea why you led with that statement.

Cant watch the video here at work but I will once I get home. I use dumbbells a lot. To be I seem to get a better workout with them. The day this happened I was working chest but I remember the pain kind of coming on after a set of chest flys.
