Torchlight 2, My Impressions... (updated: 5/10/12 with Final Impressions)

yep, it's the same. I didn't notice one weapon have 4 gem slots. Never saw that in TL1.

I believe it's still the same as Torchlight 1. You either destroy the gems and save the item or destroy the item and save the gems.

Let's put it this way: Engineer, Level 21, had my sentry gun up to level 4 deployed, and had my health bot level 5 deployed, and I just stood there whacking away at the boss. I never got hurt and the boss was killed in less than a minute. WAAAAAAYYYY TOOOOOO Overpowered.

I also ended up with almost 100 Big Health Potions (step up from regular). I think I died 4 times the whole game.

Oh, and this was on Veteran level. Game gets ridiculously easy very quickly.

yep, there were times, I'd just plant the sentry and then run around while it followed me and shot everything in sight. I didn't need to do anything else. It even took out mini-bosses with relative ease.

Yeah, it'll be $20 bucks. The incentive for pre-ordering is a free copy of Torchlight 1.

You may be able to find some people to group up with, and do a group buy. Going that route means you only pay $15 per person.

Nice thanks for the replies. I was looking forward to TLII for the 360 controller support. The original TL looked good, but didn't seem to do well with a 360 controller

On the forums they said they would not port TLII to the consoles, said the current gen did not have the ram or video cards to run them.

I preordered directly from PWI. I already have 2 copies of TL1, and the PWI offer was beta access to Neverwinter (which has been getting surprisingly good reviews over the last year).

I never played Torchlight so I did the Steam TL2 $20 preorder deal. I just started TL but I like the game. It's like Diablo 2 with WoW graphics. Very nice. Can't believe I missed this game along with TitanQuest.

Frustration/Anger/Rage outweighs joy - i am not playing D3 to get pissed off constantly.

(Play a little through Inferono, die 6 times in a row to chained elites to get a lvl 54 drop..you get the idea. No other game can be as idiotic. RMAH can kiss my ass because there will be other games out there). And the Panda WoW extension can kiss my ass too, just as a side-note.
