5/10? 5th October?

You mad OP!

Pre-ordered TL2 as soon as it was available on Steam and hugely looking forward to playing it. Glad to hear that it's shaping up to be a polished game.

I had high hopes for this game but as of now I am disappointed with no life / mana leech and lack of damage

I am playing the game and having to use potions nonstop and the amount of gold dropping to get potions is abysmal. There needs to be life / mana leech or this game just will not do. I am going up against a boss that continually summons adds and I can't even get him below half health before I have gone through 50+ health potions and 50+ mana potions along with no money left.

Regular attacks do barely any damage it seems so you have to use special attacks nonstop and then you run out of mana over and over. Kiting mobs gets really boring after you have to do it to every single pack with a boss in them.

The Diablo 3 beta had life leech at low levels, where is it at? I am level 14 and do well against everything except mini bosses and big bosses.

TL1 had life leech stuff so I assume they would in TL2.

So how do you guys register for beta? I'm feeling dumb here browsing around on their website and couldn't find the info about it.

I didn't do anything, lol. just got the email out of the blue. however I am a member of the forum from back when TL1 was released, so maybe that is how?

Got it. I thought there's an official 'opt in' process like Blizzard that I missed somewhere.

Thanks guys. I registered on the site and the forums. Linked my forum account.

Sitting tight now waiting for the magic invitation :)

Hm, I haven't linked my forum account to my Runic Games account. Perhaps I should do that too.

not sure what game Adrenaline was playing, but I found mana leech and life leech weapons in Torchlight 2 beta.

I dunno, TL2 beta hasn't grabbed me the way TL1 did. Maybe I haven't found a character I really like yet. Only played Berserker the most so far. A little bit of Engineer.

Having more fun with engineer now. I'm like level 12 or 13

Engineer is definitely a fun class. The gunner robot is awesome. he just mows down everything.

no problems during game play, game ran smooth. Graphics don't seem much improved since TL1. I don't remember if in TL1 the enemies exploded into a bloody mess or blew into bloody chunks. Seems bloodier than TL1 to me, but I haven't played TL1 in awhile.

In TL1, the dungeons went on forever, but i guess thats because the whole game was 1 big dungeon. This one there is open outside areas and random dungeons throughout the open area. They each only have may 3 levels deep.

I want to want this game, but I was so disappointed after TL1. I liked TL demo enough to buy the first one, but after playing through it was quite... like a job? Just wanted to get it over with :(

They're stress testing this weekend. So make sure you sign up for one of the Runic Games accounts if you're interested in possibly getting an invite.

one thing i don't like about this style of game is that ranged classes have to stop moving and still still to attack. they're usually weaker than the melee classes so you have to stay at a distance.
