My wifey proposed to me :Q Everyone knew I was getting married except me, she had talked to both families for feedback and then I came home from work one evening(we were livin' together in sin at the time) and she basically begs me to marry her  She tells me that all I have to do is get a tux, pick a best man and show up at the Church and she will take care of everything! She never was a good negotiater :D

I wasn't nervous about proposing (I knew how that would go), I was just nervous about having the whole setup be perfect. I'd been dating my wife for 5 years before I proposed and I wanted it to be perfect for her. I wanted to propose to her at a park we used to go to when we were in college in Mobile, AL. There was a duck pond there where we used to feed the ducks and hang out to study, etc. ;)

We went down to Mobile for the weekend just to "get away" as far as she knew. We went to the beach that morning and were going to the park that afternoon, but a HUGE stormcloud was coming up as we were on our way to the park. The proposal HAD to be that afternoon because we were leaving the next day so I floored it and damn near killed us both trying to beat the storm to the park. She didn't know what the hell was wrong with me wanting to get to the park so bad. We beat the storm, got to the park (which was almost entirely empty . . . I was glad since I didn't really want an audience) and fed the ducks who were crowded all around us. As we were getting toward the end of the bag of bread, I reached in to hand her a piece of bread, got down on my knee and pulled out the ring out of the bread bag. She knew I'd eventually be proposing to her, but she was still totally shocked. She started crying naturally. The coolest part was that the ducks, which had previously been VERY loud up until that point, were all dead silent througout the moment. It was great. :D The rain clouds disappeared, she said yes, bada bing bada boom, life is good.

I proposed in private in front of my entire family. Nervous wasn't the word for it, I was a total wreck.

i'll pretend to fall when ice skating with her..then propose.

Well, the first lady told him to go screw himself.

Then he realized he'd mis-dialed.

Very funny. Harharhar.

Yes she believed me, my phone connection was crappy at the time and there was a lot of line static so she asked me to repeat myself and I did.

Oh well, proposal is a man's job, guys!!!

why?

good luck, btw. i am personally, not a fan of the public proposal. there is sort of a pressure to say yes... and i think we can all agree that an honest answer is the best one. i mean, i've heard of several times when somebody gets proposed to at a baseball stadium or something, they say yes, but then later, in private, say no.
