Seriously, last season was much better.

Ed should have mentioned something to Tom when he was in the kitchen. And then Alex actually wins the challenge? Bogus. He'll be gone eventually anyway.

I am surprised Antonio pulled the old school saran wrap on toilet seat trick as he has came off as way to serious in the show so it was a nice surprise to see that. :p

Buh-bye Kenny, all ego and no performance. I liked him a lot in week 1 and liked him less and less every week after that. It was time he went.

I'm rooting for Kevin on this one now.

I liked Kenny but i agree his performance went downhill. at first he was backing up all of his claims and started to slip up. I will say I was pretty surprised when he went home yesterday though.

Alex just needs to go, he is a bum and everyone is pretty far above him skill levels.

Thought Kenny would hang in there but more than once he was told to stop adding so many ingredients to his dishes. He just couldn't get it together. You have to cook for the judges not just cook what you know other people have liked.

I also like Kevin. Tiffany is good too. Andrea still can't cook meat and Alex is an idiot.

And I'm rooting for Angelo to get the boot.

as good as his cooking skills, he is just a flat out dick.

I dunno though maybe my opinion will change because that happened with Marcelo in the earlier seasons, I didn't like him at first cause he was a dick but he grew on me, partially because everyone was starting to hate on him.

It's a cooking competition, not a personality contest, who cares if he's a dick.

you do have a point but i have not seen any chef skills from this guy. I think he would be a great contestant on Hells Kitchen.

this season isnt that great, i think the best season was season 5. that season had serious chefs like Hose, carla, stephan, fabio all could cook top quality dishes.

last year is my second best season. between Kevin, and the Voltaggio brothers it had my attention.

Also last night it was restaurant wars right? next to winning the show its what all the contestants work towards. was it just me or did it seem badly edited? there was a lot missing in this restaurant wars compared to past seasons.

One thing they changed a lot was they really didn't choose a theme at all. Past years they started with a nearly empty room and had to choose the flatware and decor, this time they went to a place that was already set up.

I think something semi good about this season is they seem to have a real genuine heel villain in Alex. He's an unapologetic prick, even Marcel was more likeable.

I was torn this week. Kenny created two lousy dishes. But Andrea couldn't properly cook a friggin NY strip? Grass fed vs. grain fed really doesn't make a huge difference in cooking technique. It's not as if it was the difference between cooking USDA Choice and Wagyu.

Oh well. It is what it is. Still can't wait for Alex to get the boot. I'll watch TC purely to see that. Even though this year isn't as good as last year there are still good chefs on the show. Last year was exceptional. Can't expect they'll always outdo themselves every year with their chef selections.

Kenny unfortunately cooked two dishes that had the judges completely unimpressed. He swung hard but whiffed each time. I don't think being exec chef on a losing team helped to send him home...it was his food.

He said it himself earlier, he's been in the middle, while his production hasn't matched his confidence.

Didn't they do the same thing last season?

Yeah. Honestly "Restaurant Wars" has always been stupid IMO.
It's "Top Chef" not "Not Restaurant Owner". I realize that these too often go hand in hand, but they are not mutually inclusive. Who cares if you can decorate an interior if you can cook the F out of your dish(es). It never made sense.

And now with the exclusion of the actual decoration etc, its nothing more than 3 chefs cooking and 1 being the front of house. What was soooo different last night for the chefs in the kitchen? Maybe some team-work aspect of it I guess, but hardly that.

I'm guessing this is the end of restaurant wars.

Ed referring to Alex as "skeletor" always cracks me up. That pee puree stealing piece of shit. Nice demeanor with the servers he has too. Kevin needs to beat him down.
