Battlefield 1942.. all year long... started playing when the 'Wake' demo came out (around sept. last year) and.. never stopped...

awwww...man... u guys forgot a really good game out there...nobody even mentioned it, Unreal Tournament 2003! This game is one of the tightest games i've played. Not 2 mention the map's and mod's that people have made are really great! If n e of you wanna try a great game with crazy players...this is ur game.

I'm a RPG player myself... How do I know this year was a total CRAP year for games? I've been playing EQ....

Gothic 2 is OK.

What I've played:
Unreal 2---this game was given a bad rap for not being a remake, too bad
Rise of Nations----for years I wanted a RTS, Civilization, Risk combo game, RoN is not quite what I had in mind, but it comes damn close

Maybe you should look at the Total War series, they are RTS/Risk type thing. (Not really played Civ that much, just the original one a while back).
Should have Rome: Total War out early 2004, much end up being one of the to games of next year.

I've been let down by strategy lately... still crushed by the dismal MOO3.

But I've discovered Hegemonia: Legions of Iron, a nice (beautiful graphics) RTS....

And more recently, Railroad Tycoon 2. Wow... time to get the new Railroad Tycoon 3! I love this Strategy game!!! 😀

BF1942 is game of the year in 200?. Seems the genre appeals to masses.

Am I the only one that likes Motorcycle racing sims? MotoGP2 is a kick on the big screen. I also played quite a bit of Halo recently. Wolfenstein ET was a great suprise, played alot of that one also.
