I agree, but theres also all that hubub around Tools track order. You know, change the track order, play three songs at the same time etc etc.
If this was intentionally done on Maynards part I think that ranks him every bit as good as Reznor if not more so.
From a personal standpoint I prefer Reznor's music to Maynard's. And certainly both have been very successful and popular....But I'm curious what the consensus is for the best.

While I'm a huge Tool fan (moreso than NIN) I'd have to give the nod to Trent Reznor, just for his ability to make awesome music by himself. However, Tool is also an impressive force when it comes to pure talent as well.

Yeah tool is all just on a different level. It is hard to describe, but Tool is just more musical, more melodic, deeper, heavier, harder. Not that NIN is some kid banging on a keyboard, I listen to them too, but Tool is just so much more.
