What are some foods that you'd classify as "too sweet"? I for one, have never tasted anything that I thought was too sweet. I am interested to see if such a food exists and need your suggestions.

most candy bars. need a glass of water to eat those.

i do drink pop so it's not like i have a super low tolerance for sugar or anything. but the overwhelming sweetness of chocolate bars makes me feel ill.

It's a matter of taste. A lot of stuff geared towards Americans and Mexicans is too sweet. I cut out a lot of sugar from my diet, and really notice the added sugar now. My most recent piss off was a can of Mexican jalapeños and carrots packed in vinegar. It also had added sugar, and it was really distracting.

Cinnabon
Snapple, except for the lightly sweetened ones.
Starbucks frozen drinks
Ritas
Pad Thai from most Thai restaurants
etc
etc

Basically, things have gotten sweeter and sweeter. We'll be eating flavored sugar straight in no time.

The really, really sweet ones burn my tongue.

We already do eat flavored sugar straight.
In fact there are so many products I couldn't list them.

Sweet Ice Tea
Any coffee creamer flavorings

I am sure there are others, but I need some caffeine right now and those are the two things that came to mind.

The lemonade at Chick-Fil-A is sweet. I usually ask them to add water to offset the taste. I generally avoid drinking soda (sometimes it can't be helped like when I'm in restaurants, and they don't have juice or lemonade).

I'm a dessertie (and bake stuff like cheesecakes), so not too many things are too sweet, rich maybe, but not sweet. :)

Children's cereal. I loved that shit as a kid, too. But I tried to eat a bowl of Trix a few years back and I damn near vomited from the sweetness of it. Can't handle it anymore.

A lot of chocolaty stuff I require milk to eat. Its not that its "too sweet" its that its "too rich" and I love me some milk with almost anything chocolate.

I didn't like Trix even when I was a kid, nasty stuff.

But I still eat sweet ass cereal to this day. Love me some honey comb, or cookie crisp, or capt crunch, or Golden grahams. MMMMMmmmm, cereal

There are some icings that are sweeter than pure sugar.

It's almost like putting sweet alum in your mouth.

Gulab jamuns, an Indian dessert that's basically a fried dough ball soaked in a sugar syrup.

So far I wouldn't consider anything mentioned too sweet. Although I haven't tried the Valencia cake and I find that intriguing.

If a dessert was 95% icing sugar (which I think is sweeter than normal sugar), I would enjoy it and not think it was too sweet.

There must be a thing a sugar tolerance and I think I've max'ed mine out.
