The video on liveleak shows Tony stopped just 10 seconds after the crash. The one thing that will really help Tony in this is that the blue car had to swerve to avoid this guy so it couldn't have been that easy to see him. He was crazy for getting on the track and paid the price. Sad.

I think there is undisputable evidence Tony Stewart is guilty of being a douchebag, but that was clear before this race. I find the video inconclusive, even tho Stewart seems to be doing something antagonistic towards Ward. Imo it warrants a thorough investigation of all available videos, witness accounts, and other relevant information. I wouldn't rule out nor rule in homicide until I have a clearer picture of all the evidence and facts.

The video it pretty clear in this regard. The guy walked in front of race cars at night, on a dirt track, in a turn. Many factors making that an incredibly suicidal move.

It's absurd to believe that the drivers have full control over that situation, as if it was their choice whether the victim lived or not.

Funny how that's what you see. Without seeing what his wheels were doing before he was in the frame it is impossible to know his intentions. What I see in the slow motion is his front wheels going away but that kicks the back wheels back into the guy, and then he steers back towards the guy in a possible attempt to get the rear wheels to not hit him.

In this video I see him trying to avoid the guy, the big part is what did Tony do before he is on screen. Did he turn into the guy too much and then tried too late to avoid him? Or just waited too long to avoid him?

One thing I just can't get past is an idiot putting himself on that position. He was also not just standing there but being very aggressive and going further and further into the track, I think he intended to get Tony to stop his car and bet wrong.

I am posting my observations on the video. He clearly veered INTO the area of a stopped/stalled car.

Why?

If he didn't see the driver, OK - that is fine and understood. But, why drive into the area of a pretty LARGE obsticle that was stopped?

My reasoning is that he saw the driver and felt it was necessary to teach him a lesson. So, he tried to scare him, by getting closer and then he ended up murdering him.

If we are not allowed to reply to give our opinions and thoughts on videos and content,.. then so be it.

Oh, but, I am sure you have NO problem with what others are saying on Stewart doing this on purpose,...

Well, after watching that I'm gonna have to flip opinion again as in slo-mo you can see where the car fishtailed to the right first, then back to the left. I still think TS just wanted to scare the crap out of the kid and probably never thought he would try and get that close to his car. Bad decisions by both people here with tragic result, I'm still sticking with one settles this type of deal AFTER the race is over as is the usual manner.

What we can say is that it's a race track. The entire field of cars will drive around a stopped/stalled car. That's 100% standard practice unless a red flag is called.
