gandalfini is just bargaining like he should. i have no idea if the show is still worth it since i only see the seasons on dvd.

but yea, friends are so overpriced. their show stinks now. people only watch it out of familiarity.

hbo has six feet under, sex and the city, oz, sopranos etc.. they rule!

I think HBO pulls in about 200 million dollars a month with like 20 million subscribers. I am pretty sure that they can pay tribute to the boss.

HBO will probably pay him, but make sure that his character gets bumped off in 2 or 3 episodes. I doubt that the plot writers could come up with a believable explanation as to why he suddenly disappeared from the show.

Theres a little show called Frasier thats been on the air for what 8 years now? The two main characters on Fraiser get $1.25million per episode.

The last season was dissapointing. Lots of promising storylines that went nowhere, favorite characters made to disappear.

It would be great if they cleaned up the multiple storylines . . . start with the minor ones but definitely a mid-season bumping of Tony which becomes a "Who shot JR?" plot up to the series finale.

That's what I was thinking. HBO isn't like NBC, CBS & ABC that blows money away on lots of 1/2 hour shows in hopes that they catch on. Pay Gandolfini the $750K per episode.

If you're considering paying a cable TV actor on the same scale as a Top 5 series network actor you don't even have a shred of a clue. Do that and nobody would be able to afford to subscribe to HBO.

How is Gandolfini's $750K request equal to Friends' $1 Million per episode?
