He's dead. They put way too much blood to make him come back next season. There was blood all over the place.

Maybe they'll suck the blood out of boomer and use it?

New idea: He WAS a cylon just like that robot a couple episodes back said. He either won't die, or will be mysteriously replaced under their noses.

I'm still thinking one of the Boomer characters is the real one. Maybe.

How did the original series end?
The original series only ran 1 season and 22 episodes. The final episode was essentially remade in the recent new BSG Ep 111 "Hand of God" and had the same name. Finding a Cylon Basestar, Adama makes the decision to fight instead of run, and the humans are victorious because of the bravery of Apollo and Starbuck's planning. Similar to what we saw a few weeks ago.
The show was then abruptly cancelled by ABC.

I know this because SciFi ran the final 7 episodes of the original series (1 was a 2-parter, so 8 hours worth) last Thursday AM and I captured it all with my PVR and now have it safely on DVD 🙂
And from http://www.battlestargalactica.com/

The last few new BSG episodes have me really questioning the direction they are taking. It's good stuff, but ocassionally a bit over the top, and not as good IMO as the earlier episodes were (except "Hand of God", which was really good IMO).

edit: EJ Olmos will be back. They may as well kill off the show if they kill off Adama. And no, not everyone is a Cylon. There's only 12 models, remember? And IIRC, we know what 6 of those models look like (including Ellen 😉 ).

The original season was only 22 episodes Vic? :Q

I thought it was a lot more than that because every now and then when they show the original series on SciFi, there's almost at least 1 episode I don't remember watching as a kid 😱

Is the baby "prophecy" about Boomers kid? 😕
Ya, just how human are these Cylons anyhow? I mean, if they can have kids with normal humans, what makes them more than really agressive humans?

PS For those of you wondering what to watch now that all the SciFi series are over for the season, Doctor Who just started up in the UK. You'll have to download it, but it'll keep you occupied for 13 episodes over the year. Enterprise will also be back in a week and a half

Yeah, check out Hatch's site I linked above. The show was hugely popular while it aired, but ABC cancelled it because of high production costs (and replaced it with Mork and Mindy!).
