Damn, I knew they didn't kill the kid. They should have though.

Why?

If Ali was smart he wouldn't have believed that crap about them kicking over the chair and then shooting.

At least if I was in Ali's position I wouldn't fold based on the fact that I didn't actually see the kid getting killed. They should have shot him sitting up in full view.

(This is not from a sadistic standpoint, but a realistic one)

Yeah, why? Just as effective.

KeyserSoze

Effective because Ali is an idiot. I thought the reason they kicked the chair over was because of censorship, but the kid being alive just doesn't make sense to me.

Im sure if you were in ali's shoe's and you'd just witness the same thing you'd raise the BS flag and want more proof

Well, if I just saw my son getting killed (at least that's what it looked like to Ali, and emotions are running wild) and Jack Bauer is yelling at me, I probably wouldn't be thinking logically.

Don't

at me. Am I the only one who thought it is a little suspicous that they kick the chair over before shooting? There are only 2 reasons there could have been for kicking over the chair:

a) they are not really shooting the kid (otherwise they would let him sit up, for a more harsh effect)
b) it is being censored for TV

Since (b) isn't an option in Ali's world, you'd think he'd realize that something fishy is going on.

Ah, but Ali didn't see the first season of 24 to know the sneaky techniques of Jack Bauer. 😉

I'm pretty sure all of us watching realized as soon as they kicked the chair that it was likely gonna be blanks, just like Jack did with Nina in season one.

I felt suspicious too when the chair was kicked over. My BS flag went down though when I heard the resulting screams from Ali's family though. It didn't occur to me that the special ops could've instructed the family to act the whole thing. I love how the show twists like that.🙂

Why didn't she just let herself out of the trap? Man, she is SUCH a bimbo!
Y'know I was wondering the exact same thing during that scene! Notice how the hunter took off Kim's trap with just his hands, no knife or tools or anything. Duh!!

N24? 😕

I think it was N34, but I am guessing it is part of a coordinate.

Might be wrong, but that was the first thing I thought of when it showed up.

It was the number on the plane that is being used to fly over LA to detonate the nuke.
