What time did the show start at? I was thinking sometime in the late morning/early afternoon, so we still have a ways to go. My prediction is that in the next hour or two, the bomb will go off, and the rest of the season will deal with the aftermath. Also, it sets up next year nicely, as I don't think that they can continue with these perfectly day long scenarios for much longer.

They gave hints it might be, but they never said for sure, did they?

If you looked closely, you could see the number N34 on the side of the plane for a split second at the end.

you're right, maybe N34 is just the code name for a strip club all the terrorists hang at and has nothing whatsoever to do with the actual plotline..

Started at 8am.

Yes I noticed this as well

WTH is that supposed to mean? I wasn't saying it wasn't part of it, but I do believe that planes use coordinites, could have been that.

Don't see you offering up any suggestions, just coming here with burrs up your @ss. Must be from Chubbywallet, they all seem to have the same problem.

You must've missed the part where Jack relayed to Michelle at CTU the info Syed gave up about the planes and the airbase. Michelle then looked up the airbase and saw all the plane numbers begin with N.

D@mn...I wanna talk about the spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, it's gonna be a long week.

I wish we could talk about prviews too.

Today was the first time I took off the TV w/o looking at the previews, so I'd like to keep it that way. 🙂

Knowing that this week Jack was gonna use Ali's family as leverage did ruin that for me a bit. I was hoping I wouldn't remember seeing that from the prior week, but unfortunately I did.

Sweet,

I guessed the N34 was a plane N number😀

A nuke does a lot more damage if it's triggered above an area rather than on the ground, a plane is a cheap effective way of increasing the death & destruction.

Personal aircraft numbers are supposed to be preceeded with the letter 'N.'

Cheesy trivia, somebody involved with Star Trek, not sure of Roddenberry or not, had a private aircraft that was number NC1701 hence the number for the show.

Anyhow, I imagine they would have rented a plane and not use any commercial aircraft.

next week is the finale?

No, it ended at 8 PM I believe. So, we've got 12 more episodes if my math is correct.

Which if I'm not mistaken, means there should be a 24 marathon in the not so distant future 😀

Screw that. They mess up enough catching me off guard with commercials during the week. If I had known before this episode about Syed's family being involved I would've been pissed.

I swear I have never witnessed a show give away so much in "next weeks episode" and commercials as 24.

Damn, I knew they didn't kill the kid. They should have though.

Why?

If Ali was smart he wouldn't have believed that crap about them kicking over the chair and then shooting.

At least if I was in Ali's position I wouldn't fold based on the fact that I didn't actually see the kid getting killed. They should have shot him sitting up in full view.

(This is not from a sadistic standpoint, but a realistic one)

Im sure if you were in ali's shoe's and you'd just witness the same thing you'd raise the BS flag and want more proof

Don't

at me. Am I the only one who thought it is a little suspicous that they kick the chair over before shooting? There are only 2 reasons there could have been for kicking over the chair:

a) they are not really shooting the kid (otherwise they would let him sit up, for a more harsh effect)
b) it is being censored for TV

Since (b) isn't an option in Ali's world, you'd think he'd realize that something fishy is going on.
I felt suspicious too when the chair was kicked over. My BS flag went down though when I heard the resulting screams from Ali's family though. It didn't occur to me that the special ops could've instructed the family to act the whole thing. I love how the show twists like that.🙂

random people don't make good actors. u threaten for real. family doens't know your bluffing, its all good. shoot blanks. hover over the kid. the other family members are tied, can't see. its works just great.

show on fox at 9p.m Tuesdays. great show. normally they are very exciting and action packed. They don't always follow the normal hollywood script for a show. Great one to watch.

its not reality. its a story in a day.. told in real time. 24 hours per season = 24 hours in that day.

don't jump in half way. its all linked neatly together, its like chapters in a book. its also very good stuff, one of the top shows of the last two years.

go rent the 24 dvd for the 1st season. wait for season 2 on dvd🙂

you won't regret it.

its about ctu agent jack bauer. counter terrorism sorta heh🙂

24 season 1, rent or buy🙂

picture quality on dvds is nice🙂 betterthen normal broadcast for sure, and well. widescreen😛

as you can see, the user reviews are basically all positive🙂

and don't be reading season 2 threads, u'll spoil it all for yourself!

Was this in the preview? If so...CAN YOU NOT FVCKING READ?

It was clearly stated in the first post not to talk about the previews.

Some people are so dense its ridiculous.

I think Kate Warner is the actual terrorist. Marie is just a shadow warrior designed to attract the attention of CTU. The producers and writers are all about the unexpected.

That wouldn't really make any sense though, because Ali was torturing her for information earlier in the season.
