Looks like they took some notes from Uncharted series. Not really interested personally, they had their chances plenty of times to get Tomb Raider right. They are now out of chances with me regardless how many ppl say this game is great.

The game is great, too bad for you.

im probably the biggest fan of uncharted on these boards ... and tomb raider makes uncharted look like childs play. you should do yourself a favor and get off your high horse and give it a go if you are a fan of uncharted and/or tomb raider.

You say that like it's a bad thing, when you should enjoy the ride and let me tell you you're missing hell of a ride.

Perhaps you guys did not understand what "they are now out of chances with me regardless of how many ppl say this game is great" means.
Pretty simple concept

People can read, but can also believe what you're saying makes no logical sense.

Great game is great.

I love uncharted. Never would have considered this game had you not made the comparison. Definitely going to pick it up now.

Great game is great.

I can see his point though. First tomb raider was new and exciting and game after game after it was going down in quality and didn't change what was showing age. Then they take what worked from other games and suddenly want to resell tomb raider.

I can see someone who tried to follow the series see the blunders and just be so frustrated with it that they don't see the value to play a game that basically had to change what made the first game good in the first place and turn it into more action. It's more of a "I'm not buying a Tomb Raider game that doesn't play like the Tomb Raider I remember on principal" than a "game is bad" thing.

I love uncharted and a game that is similar is very welcome to me. I simply have no time to play Tomb Raider at this time but will pick it up this summer. I'm trying to get some more unlocks in Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, and God of War Ascension comes out this week. Then it's Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the WiiU and I'll be super busy.

I just picked this game up 2 days ago and basically had to force myself to quit playing it. My favorite game that has come out in years. Nothing like shooting people in the face with an arrow :)

I am about three hours into this game and am loving it. I like how tight the controls are. That was my biggest problem with the little bit of Uncharted that I actually played, the controls were too floaty for me.

yeah control in tomb raider is A LOT better than uncharted. i wonder how much of it has to do with the ps3 controller vs the 360 controller though. i was playing sly cooper on saturday after playing tomb raider 4 days in a row, and the controls in sly cooper seemed a lot looser than i remembered lol. i think the ps3 analog sticks are just terrible in general (compared to 360).

Maybe you just have a better feel for it. I know the wiiu analog feels weird to me and it takes time to adjust. I do like the ps3 analog for fast action games because they respond more quickly for me. I don't mind playing assassins creed or batman on a 360 controller on my PC but I do like the ps3 controller for metal gear rising, ninja gaiden, and those types.

well the analog sticks in ps3 are much looser than the 360 ones, that is just a fact. and the convex tops on the ps3 analog sticks are annoying because my fingers are constantly having to be readjusted since they slide around ever so slightly, but after a while it is enough to have to re-adjust my fingers again. not to mention my thumbs hit sometimes due to the poor placement of the analog sticks.

360 analog sticks are in better locations, concave tops, and much tighter. i also think the throw on the 360 analogs are shorter but not 100% sure about it factually.

I dunno about the throw I thought the ps3 was shorter lol.

I think that Sony is moving the right way for most people with the ps4 controller. Convex, tighter springs, spaced further.

Great game is great.

I do that with restaurants too, i give them a couple chances, if they fail, i vow to never return regardless. Making a vow is a principal, an oath, like taking a vow of silence, there is no need for it to make sense to others.

Like how some here vow to never buy EA games, Apple products..etc , like that makes any more sense than mine right?

I actually use extensions on my 360 sticks but they are so much better than the loose ps3 ones.

Anyways as far as the game goes its pretty good but so damn repetitive in story and action. Everything you run on collapses, sliding down shit gets old, and I'd rather solve puzzles than easily dispatch enemies.

Also gets funny when you blow through 15 guys, run through a burning building, clear another area, save a friend, get separated, blow through another are, and magically meet up with the same character somewhere that has no other entrances.

It is kind of like being in a movie. Just a really really bad movie.

One last thing I forgot. I love that they don't force you or reward you for playing stealthy. They've built maps and a play style that certainly allow stealth but that kind of play isn't for everyone. Wish more games let you fight how you want to fight.

You're gonna love FarCry 3.

Yeah already beat it. :) Good game for sure. Sometimes I sneak, sometimes I just wanna RPG the crap out of a convoy. Hate being forced to do one or the other or even pushed one way. Let me decide what tactics I wanna use.

Just beat it today. Pretty good $4 spent at Redbox. I like what they did with the credits.

I've played up through the part where you retrieve the pack from the... pack.

I like it, and I intend to keep at it, it's real good. I do think some of the praise is a bit over the top though. The controls don't feel that tight to me.

It's good, and maybe I'll like it even more as I get further in, but I'm not as blown away as some people apparently are.

I don't mean to sound negative, I'm not, just by comparison to how positive others are.

I've never played an Uncharted game, btw.
