Because a mouse is better than a gamepad for anything shooter related. Which is what a 3rd person shooter is...
I don't think you're even reading the debate, just bashing me because you feel like it.
Bashing you?
I called you out for calling someone else out for calling someone who promoted the "Master Race" of PC's an idiot. Because whether one person enjoys a controller over KB/M or even a PC over a console isn't some how a superior gamer.
But I could pick out tons of issues to really come out as "bashing" you.
Like
1. You referenced FPS's and shooters. FPS's are shooters (it's in the name). But not all shooters are FPS's so if you wanted to talk about shooters and not FPS than say shooters.
2. A game that involves shooting doesn't mean it's a shooter.
3. Tomb Raider has about 3-4 heavy shooting scenes in about 18 hours of game play. It's not a shooter.
4. It's mostly a platformer/exploration game and it does require a decent amount of movement granularity along with camera realignment.
But I am not going to "bash" you about it.
I have read the debate. I have participated since the beginning where it really started which was someone who said either should work but I personally found the controller to be the better solution for it. Then it exploded in a Master Race discussion where the could never be situation were a game pad is superior and that its crap from console gamer and no real gamer should use one. I won't debate why someone shouldn't use a k/m because I don't approve a limiting people away from input methods that they are more comfortable with. Even if personally I find several games more comfortable with controller and don't understand why someone wouldn't use one. It's not even because games being ports most of the time its because the gameplay itself lends itself to a controller. Imho TR is one of them.
