But...but...the NFL was going to exonerate the Patriots!!! Everyone (networks, NFL, etc) was going to apologize to them!!
Bwahahahahahaha!
Bwahahahahahaha!
The Pats have a bad reputation now, of cheating. Funny how they're equating this to steroids, because I think doctoring balls is worse. Softer balls (no pun intended) are easier to grip, and its hard to force a fumble. Yeah, that's one hell of an advantage.
I think Brady was doomed when those text messages came out.
That's a crap punishment.. the Falcons pumping in crowd noise is worse IMO but wasn't punished nearly as bad.
It's only a $25k fine. That's all the rules allow for.But...but...the NFL was going to exonerate the Patriots!!! Everyone (networks, NFL, etc) was going to apologize to them!!

Forgot about the Browns thing.. not even a draft pick!
Farmer previously copped to the texting at the combine taking "full responsibility" for the illegal (by NFL rules) in-game communication.
"It was me," Farmer said. "I take full responsibility for myself and my actions. I misplayed the platform."
If the investigation is not able to definitely determine that our organization tampered with the air pressure in the footballs, I would expect and hope the league would apologize to our entire team and in particular coach Belichick and Tom Brady for what theyve had to endure this past week, Kraft said with conviction.
Im disappointed in the way this entire matter has been handled. We expect hard facts as opposed to circumstantial leaked evidence to drive the conclusion of this investigation.
That is why it is only a 25k fine for doctoring them right?
Once the balls have left the locker room, no one, including players, equipment managers and coaches are allowed to alter the footballs in any way. If any individual alters the footballs, or if a non-approved ball is used in the game, the person responsible and, if appropriate, the head coach or other club personnel will be subject to discipline, including but not limited to, a fine of $25,000.
I believe that the rule book has a fine for tampering with footballs, and the fine amount is $25,000, Yee told Dan Patrick. Which in todays NFL is fairly small, relative to some of the other fines that have been given out.
Just read the news about the penalties heaped upon the Patriots by the NFL. My guess is that the Patriots and Brady will appeal this "punishment" and may very we'll prevail as The NFL and commish are pretty much combat ineffective.
Interested to hear how others (especially Pats fans) think this latest instance of NE pushing the rules will affect their legacy?

Brady said he was very particular about the balls. He knew the equipment guys and they are on record stating he gets pissed when the balls are overinflated.
I look forward to the investigation on why Indy had 3 out of 4 balls under-inflated. Oh wait, it's not New England, forget that.
fucking retarded. there is no proof and they suspended him. this is such a non issue too. only reason this is happening is to keep the nfl as the #1 story in the sports world in the midst of the NHL and NBA playoffs.
they do not want to investigate; they would actually have to do something against another team then. all teams that have been accused and/or have evidence of ball manipulation would have to be looked at. And even handed results.Just like you looked forward to the NFL exonerating the Patriots. :awe:
Let the NFL investigate the Colts - if they did something similar to the Patriots, I'll be first in line calling for punishment.

then they would also have to explain why the refs would have the footballs above specs.
Right now; they do not even have actual evidence against Brady; even their investigation has been shown to be flawed.
An appeal will show such; then the NFL again will have egg on their face.
Brady is not going to take this lying down.
This was a vendetta.
