Let's all vote to create a dictator, what could possibly go wrong?

Seriously, sometimes you have to wonder, how the fuck did these idiots amass that much money in their lifetimes?

I think they banked on always having a commissioner who wasn't a bumbling idiot.

Goodell has screwed this up, big time.

It's a simple equipment violation....IF the balls were under spec at the start of the game. IF.

There's no evidence they were anything but right at 12.5 psi, the minimum. If it was 90 degrees that day, the PSI would have gone up and nobody would have cared. But it was cold, and it went down.

Then Goodell went with the info in an erroneous report and hit Brady with an unfair punishment, and here we are. The leaks from the NFL haven't helped, either, particularly the initial ones that Chris Mortenson reported that said the balls were WAY under spec, when they really were not.

For anyone interested in a legal analysis (with some case law) of the court hearing and why/how the Court may rule. A little lengthy.

http://thesportsesquires.com/tom-bradys-winning-argument/

Yea, but interesting. God I hope he does not let Goodell serve as arbitrator again if he orders a do-over. I'm hoping he also strongly considers the lack of notice argument, if he takes aim on that as well then he will determine that the punishment was fundamentally unfair via the CBA and a 4-game suspension would be off the table. The leauge could (and probably will ) appeal any ruling in Brady's favor so we could see this going on for much, much longer. At least some of the owners are getting sick and tired of Goodell's punishments making the league look bad yet AGAIN..

Will Brady get a special bonus to offset the penalty for being a cheater? The Pats' cheating has kept the NFL in the headlines through the entire off-season. That's got to be worth big bucks to the league.

Stupid troll, stupidly trolling.

I think on what grounds he hands down the ruling (assuming he does) will decide it. But I can't imagine him ruling in favor of Brady and allowing Goodell to again assign himself arbitrator.

This is the frustrating thing in all of this. I can understand those who hate Brady. But as the judge said this is an issue of fundamental fairness in Employer/Employee relationships. And everyone should be disturbed at what has been disclosed about how the NFL handled this whole process.

The Judge should rule tomm. or Wed. Based on what you know of the case, how do you guys think he will rule?

I think he will remand it back to a neutral arbitrator that the NFL and NFLPA both chooses or one he approves to rehear the appeal.

I think he shoves it up Goodell's arrogant ass, he was clearly pissed that they would not move off Brady admitting total guilt and he spent 2 days ass-raping the joke the NFL called an appeal. Everyone keeps yapping yea, but #46, yea, #46 gives him broad powers but that DOES NOT give him the right to conduct an appeal with an obviously biased arbitrator, deny the NFLPA's lawyers access to Nash nor does it allow him to suspend a player on an alleged equipment violation when according to the CBA it's a team fine. The owners need to act NOW to get rid of this ongoing pestilence they call a commissioner.

Lol butthurt Pats fans. Although I would hardly expect them take their punishment without crying like little babies, given that they cry about everything else.

He really doesn't have a reason to take any deal unless it's incredibly generous. At this point, he's standing on moral ground and I seriously doubt he cares about 4 games or 2.

I have never really been a Brady fan, I always respected his ability, but he's been lukewarm to me. Any delay or reduction means we face them in week 4, and I just don't care. I hope he wins.

Yeah, just the butthurt pats fans supporting him...

This is how the meeting had to go down. Brady simply can't admit guilt due to his prior testimony. Goodell won't take anything less than Brady admitting responsibility. The judge is strongly questioning the NFL's case and said he's ready to rule quickly, which sounds like before the season starts.

Maybe you're just a Brady hater, which is fine, just don't lump reasonable people into your bullshit.

From your prior statement, you're right. Brady doesn't have any reason to accept anything but a very generous settlement. Even if the case was going to get dragged on through the season, there would be a stay and Brady would play. Brady knows the worst he can get is 4 game suspension. He won't lose any face for losing the case. Only Goodell stands to lose in this. The NFL wins, as it is the NFL. Brady wins regardless of the ruling. Goodell loses big time if the judge rules against him and only a bit if it holds up in his favor.

At least we're not as bad as a certain team that had to start a huge brawl because they lost the game. Also the nice landmark of the first player ejection in a SB, I would hardly expect their fans to anything less than a stanky used tampon lying outside in the Arizona sun for 7 months.

Come on Judge, let's hear something

It might be a few days yet, he has a LOT of detail to write in explaining his decision although the longer it takes the better it looks for Brady IMO because a simple denial citing the CBA agreement would be relatively simple to spit out.

Which prompted one of the owners to comment "why us?, I don't see this happening in ANY other professional sport". Brady's pockets are not nearly as deep as the NFL's but imagine if he files a lawsuit that states that certain owners had influence over Goodell to "stick" it to the Pat's and Brady and then the owners might get dragged into court and forced to surrender THEIR cell phones, wow would that get ugly on a massive scale.

Brady told a reporter that if the judge rules against him, in order to keep distractions away from his team, he might not appeal it. How sincere that is, well, you be the judge.

Are you going to make me post that picture of Tommy blubbering like someone stole his lollipop?

Pats fans are the biggest crybabies in the league. It is known.

What is there to cry about. We're WINNERS... Or did that last GIF of Sherman not remind you of that.

Maybe this will..
