*WOOSH*
Double *WOOSH*
Right. You didn’t make any claims about the scientifically proven pressure loss. You completely ignored it and misunderstood the point: He wasn’t “finger wagging.” He was very particularly saying that NEITHER did anything wrong and that BOTH could find themselves under similarly unjustified scrutiny by morons who ignore the science (namely: YOU).
They each wanted opposite extremes within the guidelines. What happens after that due to weather, temperature, conditions, etc is out of their control. His entire point was that neither did anything wrong, not that someone else was doing wrong too (which incorrectly assumes Brady’s behavior was wrong). “Whataboutism” not found.
I think that wooshing sound is air blowing in one ear and out the other, cause damn you're just fabricating things to claim he was doing, when you're the one doing it.
Where did he ignore science? What the fuck? And you're trying to lecture people on logic? Do you even listen to yourself?
Except that argument is fundamentally fucking stupid. One makes holding onto the ball easier, the other does literally the fucking opposite. I reiterate, do you even listen to yourself? Guess what, an inflated to max pressure under the rules football in the cold will still almost certainly be within the rules in the cold. Its not going to get warm enough to fundamentally change that (not to mention, a more inflated ball only has an advantage when kicking, otherwise its actually a disadvantage). But a football at the minimum pressure, could very easily fall below the minimum pressure in the cold. That's the entire point is that the Pats could game the system, so that they could inflate it to the min spec, say in a warm room, and then when its out in the cold, it'd drop in pressure more. The only people acting like someone is ignoring physics are people like you and the Pats. And its a bullshit argument because it ignores that there was evidence of them actively trying to cheat. Which is why it blew up because Brady was clearly trying to destroy evidence. That's the fucking point you dolt. Not issues over the science, its that there was clear evidence of them trying to cheat. It really doesn't even matter if it was in a way that didn't actually help, its the intent to cheat that is the real problem and why they got punished so (frankly, they got punished for being caught as the NFL has shown they really don't give a shit unless they have to address it).
High level sports is a complete joke, and people are being idiots by arguing small shit like this. Yes, I'm sure other teams have probably been trying to game it. Just like the Saints bounty program. Arguing that "well these other guys are cheating too" is not a fucking argument for ones getting caught blatantly doing it to not get punished. Peyton Manning was very obviously on steroids or something very similar for a couple of years with the Broncos (very probably longer, and big surprise that his play went to shit very quickly after it started getting looked into, which I'm sure caused him to get off it, and then, shockingly he suddenly turned limp wristed; granted, anyone that thinks that Tom Brady's longevity is because of his diet and shit like that is just deluding themselves - not that they're the only ones doing it though, and honestly, considering the damage the game does to atheletes' bodies, I think they should actually be actively working to use it so as to try and mitigate the damage, just like I think they should legalize cannabis for pain management; they don't in order to prop up the facade of integrity, it'd be nice if they were just outright honest instead).
But, the entirety of the topic this thread was about is a farce and literally everyone involved just looks like a bigger piece of shit and people arguing over it just look like fucking idiots all around, let alone people like you trying to bastardize science to try and prop up their bullshit arguments. If you're so adamant of holding up the honor of science, there's much better places to be doing it.
