*WOOSH*

Double *WOOSH*

Right. You didn’t make any claims about the scientifically proven pressure loss. You completely ignored it and misunderstood the point: He wasn’t “finger wagging.” He was very particularly saying that NEITHER did anything wrong and that BOTH could find themselves under similarly unjustified scrutiny by morons who ignore the science (namely: YOU).

They each wanted opposite extremes within the guidelines. What happens after that due to weather, temperature, conditions, etc is out of their control. His entire point was that neither did anything wrong, not that someone else was doing wrong too (which incorrectly assumes Brady’s behavior was wrong). “Whataboutism” not found.

I think that wooshing sound is air blowing in one ear and out the other, cause damn you're just fabricating things to claim he was doing, when you're the one doing it.

Where did he ignore science? What the fuck? And you're trying to lecture people on logic? Do you even listen to yourself?

Except that argument is fundamentally fucking stupid. One makes holding onto the ball easier, the other does literally the fucking opposite. I reiterate, do you even listen to yourself? Guess what, an inflated to max pressure under the rules football in the cold will still almost certainly be within the rules in the cold. Its not going to get warm enough to fundamentally change that (not to mention, a more inflated ball only has an advantage when kicking, otherwise its actually a disadvantage). But a football at the minimum pressure, could very easily fall below the minimum pressure in the cold. That's the entire point is that the Pats could game the system, so that they could inflate it to the min spec, say in a warm room, and then when its out in the cold, it'd drop in pressure more. The only people acting like someone is ignoring physics are people like you and the Pats. And its a bullshit argument because it ignores that there was evidence of them actively trying to cheat. Which is why it blew up because Brady was clearly trying to destroy evidence. That's the fucking point you dolt. Not issues over the science, its that there was clear evidence of them trying to cheat. It really doesn't even matter if it was in a way that didn't actually help, its the intent to cheat that is the real problem and why they got punished so (frankly, they got punished for being caught as the NFL has shown they really don't give a shit unless they have to address it).

High level sports is a complete joke, and people are being idiots by arguing small shit like this. Yes, I'm sure other teams have probably been trying to game it. Just like the Saints bounty program. Arguing that "well these other guys are cheating too" is not a fucking argument for ones getting caught blatantly doing it to not get punished. Peyton Manning was very obviously on steroids or something very similar for a couple of years with the Broncos (very probably longer, and big surprise that his play went to shit very quickly after it started getting looked into, which I'm sure caused him to get off it, and then, shockingly he suddenly turned limp wristed; granted, anyone that thinks that Tom Brady's longevity is because of his diet and shit like that is just deluding themselves - not that they're the only ones doing it though, and honestly, considering the damage the game does to atheletes' bodies, I think they should actually be actively working to use it so as to try and mitigate the damage, just like I think they should legalize cannabis for pain management; they don't in order to prop up the facade of integrity, it'd be nice if they were just outright honest instead).

But, the entirety of the topic this thread was about is a farce and literally everyone involved just looks like a bigger piece of shit and people arguing over it just look like fucking idiots all around, let alone people like you trying to bastardize science to try and prop up their bullshit arguments. If you're so adamant of holding up the honor of science, there's much better places to be doing it.

What are you even talking about? Where did I call anyone a moron? Where did I say pressure isn't affected by temperature? Are you sure you're not confusing me with someone else?

There is a facepalm here, and it's not me.
LOL! Seriously?! It’s right here:
Ah, the good old whataboutism argument. You a Trump fan as well?
You even insultingly implied that he might be a Trump supporter.

“Whataboutism” is an attempt to shame you as a hypocrite for focusing on one person when there is someone else that person wants us to be more concerned with. That isn’t what was happening in Pacfanweb’s post at all. By presenting the ridiculous scenario that they were both cheating, he wanted us to look at both ends of the spectrum and see that neither was cheating. Rather than gaining new perspective, you ran with the intentionally ridiculous assumption that both were cheating and used it in your own post... without the sarcasm. That makes your response the one worthy of ridicule.

Now, your claim that you never brought up the science is pure deflection. When you first uttered “Whataboutism,” you did so in direct contradiction to Pacfanweb’s post where he attempted to draw your attention to the science by way of a logical contradiction. By not recognizing the contradiction and, instead, latching onto the base assumption that Brady cheated, the premise of your “Whataboutism” post rejects the science. That’s why BUTCH1 so graciously tried to remind you of it.

You all are. Sorry, but whatever failed logic (no idea where you're getting this "your logic is flawed" argument with regards to that poster) you think you were pointing out, you've just resorted to the same bullshit circular non-logic that people have been going on and on about over this.

You do realize BUTCH1 is actually talking about someone else, right?
Here’s the quote tree for you:
Perhaps you don't know what whataboutism is. Just because someone else does something wrong, that doesn't absolve your own wrongdoings. Got it now?
Correct. but tests from actual scientific institution's did not indicate any unusual pressure loss when the weather is taken into consideration. The NFL gathered PSI measurements for the following season, but declined to let anyone actually see them, why would that be?. Who knows if any balls were actually illegally adjusted and if they were it could not have been more than .5 PSI. Calling that "cheating" is kinda lame IMO.
I made no claims about that, I'm just pointing out that finger wagging at other people doesn't change whether or not you did something wrong. Yes, it's quite possible that Rodgers has been outside of the required parameters. That doesn't mean anything regarding the New England situation. I live near Boston and I hear soooooooooo many whatabout arguments. It really is a favorite of Boston fans.
It wasn’t “finger wagging.” It was pointing out a logical contradiction that you must resolve in order to consider it cheating. The scenario that bother we’re cheating was supposed to be ridiculous. The one who laughably accepted that premise, was Juju.

Granted he seems to be dumb enough that he too is making the same mistake. You guys act like JujuFish is the one that brought up the turnover thing. He's not. He literally only pointed out that going "yeah well what about Aaron Rodgers?" wasn't really an actual argument, let alone having fucking anything to do with logic. And then you group of dumbshits started piling on and throwing other arguments acting like he made them. He never fucking did.
He pointed out that something that was never the argument wasn’t an argument? Genius!

Calling someone out for an idiotic argument with an idiotic presumption of your own should always warrant ridicule... and he’s getting it. If you can dish the criticism then you better be sure you are beyond reproach or be ready to handle some criticism yourself.

Case in point...
Ironic how you fucking morons harp on logic when you can't even be bothered to read the goddamn thread and then you guys want to cop this attitude responding to people not even doing the things you claim? What the fuck? JHumeC some of you are straight fucked in the head and doing exactly what you're feebly trying to condemn others for.

Not hand egg fan or anything, but wasn't this fracas 2014-14 season's issue?
It's like Vietnam War, the issue of Brady and the Pats being filthy cheaters will not sleep until everyone of this generation is in the ground.

*snip*

Confirmed, you do not have any reading comprehension. I will take that into consideration the next time I consider dealing with you. It's much more pleasant talking to your brother.

Are you saying that you didn’t use the word moron? Great, because I never said you used the word and very deliberately did not use quotation marks (Reading Comprehension++). You aren’t even trying to claim that I misinterpreted you. Instead, you are latching on to the fact that you never used an exact word that I never said you used.

Such pedantry is a worse debate tactic than actual Whataboutism.

Grasping at straws by implying that I can’t read even though it was a perfect interpretation... *tsk tsk*

Were you being “pleasant” when you responded to Mr. Fanweb with accusations of Whataboutism? Looks like you were already beyond pleasant conversation in this line of discussion. Somehow I feel that my call-out wouldn’t be much of a call-out if I tried to be “pleasant” with you. No apologies: We reap what we sow, and yours was ripe with irony.

Still trying to attribute words to me that I never wrote so that you can rebuke those unwritten words, I see. Keep going, this is fun.
Pedantry on full display here, folks.

Juju: You were insulting him/his intelligence by calling his logic “Whataboutism” and implying the he might be a Trump supporter, were you not? Do you know what the word moron means?

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury... I rest my case.

Would you anti-Brady/anti-Pats prefer a DOJ forced divestiture in which Brady is forced to go to the Cleveland Browns to make life fair for everyone else?
