Tom Brady is making an excellent case of being considered...

I'm not going to say "the" best, but he's definitely making a case for it. At his young age, 3 superbowls at 27, jesus christ, the man knows how to play ball...

I mean montana didn't get his third till he was 28 and that was when there was no salary cap so the niners pretty much bought the best O-line out there...

Hats of to Tom Brady, Bay Area kid...

I'll give you one Eli Manning, one Chad Pennington, and I'll toss in TO Lite, (Plexiglass Burress), for Mr. Brady.

burress is a bum. that guy disappears during big games. As much as people hate TO the guy steps up in big games.

Burress last week at times looked like he was half assing the routes.

I will say that he owes a LOT to his defense. Still he is definately THE player I would want in a clutch situation.

You're being generous with that no good, lazy ass whiner. He strives to be a bum, that's how far down he is.

you can't forget the coach though. Belichick and Weis and that whole coaching staff elevated Brady to where he is today.
Although if the Patriots can pull a superbowl outta thier ass this year /w Brady at the helm...I'd put him top 5 of all time QB's 😛

shoot, you put a lot of other qbs in his place and they can win too.
Uh, no.

How about Dan Foust (sp?), Roman Gabriel, and Dan Marino to name a few?
How about them? 😕

I was thinking about really good quarterbacks who just did not have the team to support them and how they would do with the Patriots.

Top 5?? If he wins a fourth SB at the age of 16, or however old he is, Pats fans could make the argument that he is numero uno, and the greatest achievment since canned beer!

burress is a bum no doubt, but i would call him Moss lite not TO lite.

😉

as to brady being an all time great, he's the Joe Montana of this millenium.

he's not flashy like Elway, Marino, Tarkenten, Staubach. he doesn't have Favre tough man act type thing. he doesn't have Mannings take over personality.

he just wins. to me he is a lot like montana. he works with the best coach of his era (belichek vs walsh). they both had incredible teams around them (SF's D was always underrated).

Brady doubters, have you seen the man play? Didn't think so. The guy has ice in his veins and is the man in the clutch. This is coming from a Jets/Giants fan, no less.

One of the best things about most sports is an athlete's performance is based on numbers. I can not argue with Brady's success

How does his performance compare to other great quarterbacks in the last ten years?

Yeah, the coaching staff is definately great. But even they give a lot of credit to brady...I've heard them call brady "another belichick on the field with a better arm". He wouldn't do nearly as well though if the rest of the team wasn't so solid however.

I'm slightly biased living in MA, but you have to admit that in terms of rating, production, etc. Brady is the top of a very small class of select prime players. The closest current QB to him is Peyton Manning, IMO. They are just consistently at the top of their field. The AFC Championship game is gonna be one helluva battle. I also really appreciate how humble and controlled Brady is on and off the field. He is a true sportsman; something growing rarer in the era of Moss, TO, Marcus Vick, etc.

Brady is really good, but I don't think he's one of the greatest. It's the coaching staff and the rest of the team that makes him look good. He is probably the most consistant and reliable QB ever.
