Tom and Jerry: Best Cartoon Ever?

I know The Simpsons and Family Guy are up there but i still believe overall, Tom and Jerry was revolutionary, while the other two weren't. What do you guys think?

Tom and Jerry use to entertain me, but after a while I just wanted Tom to catch Jerry and beat the crap outta him. I think the only time I routed for Jerry was when Nibbles was around...🙂

I do remember seeing some of the T&J cartoons that were made by some french dude there for a while... they sucked donkey balls. Yet another good thing the french managed to ruin. 😛

Tom & Jerry are great ... I love that episode in the bowling alley. It's a toss-up with Looney Tunes though.

Anybody notice that htere are like two style of Tom & Jerry? One of em kinda sucks, must have been a different group doing em for awhile.

I'm partial to the old-school 80's cartoons like Thundercats, GI Joe, He Man.
Then I like the early 90's toons like Duck Tales, Tailspin, and Rescue Rangers.
As an adult you can't beat the trio of Family Guy, Simpsons, and Futurama.

Must be a generation gap ... those are the cartoons that I used to look and and say "geez, cartoons have really gone to crap."

If you've seen some of the more older banned bits, some of them are blatantly racist...either way, the cartoon is one of my favorites. It is completely different than Family Guy/Simpsons/Futurama, though. The latter are targeted toward an adult audience (i.e. they have words) and the former appeal to everybody equally (no words).

Probably is, cuz I look at today's cartoons and say the same thing.

Although I could watch Tom and Jerry for extended amounts of time, I don't think it's the best because it's just not stimulating at all.
