Voltron, for the simple reason that it is a robot. Godzilla is just a big lizard. Voltron just has to bodyslam Godzilla to finish him off.

What are the dimensions of each? I'd say Voltron off the top of my head but if Godzilla's got a huge size advantage, it might put him over the top

well lets think, voltron would try to fight godzilla one on one as little robots and get whooped, they would then decide to form voltron and beat godzilla...
thats what always happens... Hmmmm why didn't they ever just come out as voltron in the first place?

<< Godzilla the meanest most powerful of the giant monsters terrorising japan VS Voltron the biggest most powerful giant fighting robot of the Eightys >>

So Godzilla, who spanned 27 feature-length films (and counting) and had everything humanity and other freaks of nature could throw at him including electricity, ice, magma, and IIRC a nuclear missile and still come out smelling like roses by the next installment...

vs. Voltron (whichever reincarnation, you pick, it doesn't matter) who gets knocked down, thrown down, and broken apart a few times in each episode.

Gojira! ?S?W??! :D

Same thing they just don't transform right off in Dragonballs. So they can stretch one story across like 50 episodes.

All Voltron would have to do is FORM BLAZING SWORD! and it would all be over. Jump up in the air and come down sliceing Godzilla in two. Simple as that.

Answered my own question about Godzilla...at his biggest, he was 100m tall (approx 328 feet) and weighed 60,000 tons (from here)

The Voltron lions are as follows (from here):

Color - Height - Weight
Black - 40m - 2500 lbs
Red - 20m - 1500 lbs
Green - 20m - 1500 lbs
Blue - 30m - 2000 lbs
Yellow - 30m - 2000 lbs

Extrapolatin' from that--The biggest Voltron could be is a height of 70m and a weight of 9500 lbs = 4.5 tons...

In short, yes, Voltron may be much smarter...but could the team overcome a 50,000+ ton weight disadvantage?

Godzilla has been hit with incredible energy beams many, many times before and been hardly injured! He is a mutant dinosaur altered by a nuclear detonation(much like the Hulk) and the odds would be that the flaming sword(that even sounds gay LOL flaming LOL :p ) would not significantly harm Godzilla. He would eventually smash Voltron into metal junk and throw him in the recycler bin for tuesday pick-up ;)

Go ahead and form your blazing sword, and Godzilla melts your ass down before you even get close.

That sword wouldn't even scratch the big G. One stomp and Voltron is a a big griddle.

We're assuming this is the lion version of Voltron, and not the one made of all the sissy cars and spaceships, right?

CrazyRyan...

You are an evil, evil person. How dare you make me choose between my beloved Voltron and Godzilla. You'll rot in the fiery pits of hell for this injustice.

Since I'm here though I'll try to answer the question. Voltron can form his blazing sword and slice and dice. And he could split up into the lions and all 5 could attack at the same time. Having said that, Godzilla is a super bad mofo and I've seen every movie I can get my hands on so my vote goes to Godzilla. Plus he has his son that can spit rings of smoke to thoroughly confuse the little lions and then daddy would come in and nuke them with his super breath.

Oh yeah, and he can make the baby spit fire by stepping on his tail.

Godzilla wins.

Period.

P.S. The new "Hollywood" Godzilla would get beat by Voltron in a heart beat. The Tokyo Godzilla is unstoppable.

Think about the momentum...Godzilla moving at 1mph with only 50% of his weight behind it would send the assembled lions flying at 6666+ (mark of the beast :Q) mph
