Is it my imagination, or are the pedophiles everywhere?

The goal of the GOP's QAnon-influenced "groomer" troll: More political violence | Salon.com

On his Friday night show, Fox News host Tucker Carlson made this call to violence explicit, asking men to "go in and thrash the teacher" for allegedly teaching "sex values." Republicans have defined "sex values" so broadly as to include anodyne behaviors like "being married to someone of the same sex" or "letting kids talk about same-sex parents on the playground." Same-sex couples merely existing in public has been redefined as "grooming" by Breitbart. So it follows that what Carlson is asking his viewers to do is to beat up teachers for being gay, or even for just accepting that gay people exist. About three-quarters of elementary school teachers are female, as well, so Carlson's call to violence must be understood as calling on men to beat up women for the "crime" of accepting that some kids have LGBTQ family members and friends.

Well, they're good, upstanding Republicans and they know people who are pedophiles, so obviously those filthy liberals must have even more of them!

Today's GOP...still somehow more popular than today's Democrats!

Someone in 20 years needs to write books about how Democrats squandered all of their political capital from 2016-2024 in the face of total and unabashed GOP blundering. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Here a perfect example of today's GOP. Hypocrisy is now a feature.

"That’s not how this world works": Josh Hawley gets schooled on the Senate floor | Salon.com

"This comes from a guy who raised his fist in solidarity with the [Capitol riot] insurrectionists," Schatz said during a fiery Senate floor speech. "This comes from a guy who, before the Russian invasion, suggested that maybe it would be wise for [Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy] to make a few concessions for Ukraine and their willingness to join NATO."

Wow, seems they were following Putin's playbook all along.

Is there hope for the Conservatives in America?

As the GOP is about to assume full and total (and perhaps permanent) control of the government soon...the real question is, is there any hope for the rest of us?

Eh, mostly Evangelical Christianity.
That's a great table. Christianity in the USA has devolved into pure politics...more precisely, identity politics.

Shorty after Obama's election Putin made clear overtures to rightwing evangelicals in the US by portraying himself as a Christian, and naming Russia as a defender of Christianity against the Islamic world. I've been waiting to see that crop come to fruition.

getting extra unhinged out there in the primaries

She's been ramping it up with each new ad, working harder to appeal to the (uninformed) conservative base. They (candidates for Congress/governor) all really only push some main points: fighting Biden and the 'radical' Democrats, anti-CRT, anti-trans, love guns, kiss Trump's ass, build the wall.

The only broadcast TV I watch right now is the local news, and I can barely stand to watch that for all of the political ads. They started in December, and the primary isn't until May. Don't think I've seen a single (D) ad for U.S. congress or for governor for the primary; I do see some plan to run. (R)s are now attacking each other as we get closer.

More concern trolling.

Rick Scott is codifying GOP madness.

Rick Scott's loony-tunes 11-point plan: Classic GOP projection, and a roadmap to theocracy | Salon.com

Never forget this about Rick Scott...

Before we discuss Scott's plan to save the country, it's worth mentioning that as founder of Columbia Healthcare and then CEO of the merged hospital corporations Columbia/HCA, Scott was in charge in 1997 when the company was fined $1.7 billion for overbilling and defrauding Medicare and Medicaid, at the time the largest health care fraud in U.S. history. He was forced to resign and said he took "responsibility" for the fraud, said responsibility apparently requiring him to invoke the Fifth Amendment some 75 times while under oath.

Well, that's just proper performance of capitalism, maximizing shareholder value.

Support your military?

Naaawwwwwhhhhhh

Military
Marjorie Taylor Greene Says Joining Military Is 'Throwing Your Life Away'

The congresswoman also hit out at vaccine mandates, "woke" army training and the "satanic" left during an interview with Lou Dobbs.
Why aren't all Republicans tagged with disrespecting the military like "defund the police" is tagged to all Democrats??

Republicans would rather label a peaceful protestor taking a knee before a football game as disrespecting the military.
