Alkemyst,
I'm going to disgree with Perknose here and state that you did the WRONG thing. That's because you didn't put any thought into it and think about what's going to happen after she reads that note. She's going to pick up all the garbage you left on the seat & dump it right out the window onto the ground, while feeling in her mind that she did the right thing because how dare you put stuff in her car.

The RIGHT thing to do would have been to leave the note and empty the contents of the doggy bag right onto the driver's seat. Along with "next time you litter, it'll be 500 pounds of dog shit." Make mention in the note that "while you clean the dog crap off your seat, keep in mind that someone else has to spend time cleaning up all the garbage you throw into our neighborhoods."

I hate people who through garbage out onto the streets.

The problem is people like you allow ignorant litterers to continue without ever realizing that it's unacceptable.

Ignorant? Hmm...

It's acceptable to me. Do I do it? No. Do I give a shit? Nope. Is it worth dumping trash and dog shit into someone else's car over? Of course not.

Cars leak more dirt, oil, fuel, transmission fluid, antifreeze, blah blah blah than any legion of smokers could hope to compete against. There's harmful liquids dropped onto roads and harmful gasses spewing out a tailpipe.

Do you ride your bicycle everywhere, Itchykneesan?

:) I really wanted to disagree with you at the first line...but I still can't do that. I do understand how you living outside the normal life in the country would really make that thing stick.

Maybe put some goat phermones on her driver seat and put your #1 stud inside...

My wife is a bit pissed at this story especially since I had the dogs. I shouldn't have told her. Fortunately she's busy today for her work tomorrow so I am off the radar.

That trash that gets tossed out blows to the side of the road. Then someone has to pick it up. Do you know how many people have been killer by errant drivers while picking up trash?

They're usually prison folk around here so no big loss :p There are all kinds of adopt-a-highway programs here so the gub'ment doesn't have to foot the bill for clean up.

However, that's just out of town. In town, there are street sweepers, more prison folk, and even more adopt-a-road programs.

Also, whether those people are picking up trash or not, the same errant driver is going to plow off the road and hurt himself anyway. If you're going to be picking up litter on a busy high way, as a pedestrian, it is your responsibility to watch for traffic and make sure you're not hit.

I am just pissed that every week I find butts in my lawn whether it's just one or a few that I have to pick up.

I guess in the end I could just let those little white specks build up.

But then again I make sure when walking my dogs they only do their business on a swale and I always pick the poop up even when I run out of bags and have to drive back.

Some fucker on my walk does at least bag the crap, but just leaves it there. I had homeowner's come out and try to blame me. They usually give up when I pull a bag of poop out of my pocket.

Alkemyst, the perennial ATOT tough guy, given the chance to confront this person instead leaves a passive aggressive note like a little pussy.

A male confronting any female he doesn't know in public has all sorts of potential to go way south real fast -- very easy for any bystander to misinterpret what's occuring and for said female to then run with tp her advantage.

So? It doesn't have to be an angry confrontation. It can be a friendly confrontation. However, considering Alky's unreasonable knee-jerk reaction when she WASN'T there, I'm glad she didn't have to suffer through a physical interaction with him.

C'mon, Nik. Now you're just being predictably stubborn and and making arguments everyone can see right through.

To top it off, you're crossing right over into outright trolling Alky, as well.

This theme is repeated time and again. You storm in and take an angry, accusatory, often one-sided position and then never have the grace to engage in any true give and take or admit you could possibly be wrong about even the slightest detail whatsoever.

Instead, you just argue, sometimes crudely and stupidly, until the cows come home.

It's why people so often complain that you derail entire threads.

Wait, so the confrontation DOES have to be angry?

What's your on-topic point, Perk?

When you, as a stranger, present a person like this casually and spectacularly ignorant female with evidence of her wrong-doing in public, no matter how low-key you try to keep it, the chances of such an encounter blowing up are unacceptably HIGH and absolutely not worth it, given the possible downside, which I will quote myself here on:

A male confronting any female he doesn't know in public has all sorts of potential to go way south real fast -- very easy for any bystander to misinterpret what's occurring and for said female to then run with to her advantage.
What about this do you really not understand?

I understand completely. I was simply making the profound point that you basically call me out and insult you (which I can't do to you or I get banned) and accuse me of derailing the thread... an effort that is now derailing the thread away from the topic.

Congrats, bud.

I know what you're trying to say. It'd still be more acceptable to me, if I were the one making the choice on how to confront her, to simply stop and talk with her about it instead of act like a juvenile prankster and dump garbage all over her car, including dog shit, that will eventually just get pushed off the seat onto the ground anyway.
