Its been exactly six months since I have had a drink. I know that's not a big deal to some but for me its quite a big deal.

I am really digging life now.

------------------------------------------

Today is day 1,000 of not drinking.
Its been a hell of a ride!

I thought water was vital to life! :p

Good job on staying away from the stuff. Keep it up.

Nice, congrats! About 3 years ago, I went half a year w/o a drop too. Was mostly a test of willpower, since I went back to drinking but at least I make fewer stupid mistakes now :p

Are you going to stay on the wagon or do you have a duration in mind?

Several people in my family have battled such a thing. Some have stayed strong while others have not. What you have done is not easy, keep up the good work.

I didn't drink today. I don't think I want to drink tomorrow either. That's about the extent of the duration I can worry about.

Thanks. Its for sure not an easy battle. Honestly, the hardest part is people not understanding the insanity of alcoholism.

Excellent job!!! I know first hand how hard it can be. Somedays it can be a battle, other days its easy. Be careful not replace one addiction with another.
Going 19 years myself.

Wow, you got me beat. I've gone a month and a half. I did a really stupid thing and it almost cost me my best friend, so I stopped. Congratulations!

Great work... I've got many addicts/alcoholics in my family and what you are doing takes a lot of courage. Keep it up dude :)

Try Melatonin. I work nights and it helps me.

And good luck with the not drinking. My x is a drunk and it's one reason we're not together.
