i think its a personal issue... although having someone that looks out for you and your goals helps.

Way to go man. Just stick with it and give it time, not smoking will become as much a habit as smoking was. Hardest part's done already.

Good job!

I barely miss it. I smoked 2 packs a day for about 8 years. I quit Nov. 7Th 2001 (Cold turkey), 2 months before my daughter was born. amazingly I stillll get slight cravings for cigarettes.

a little over 6 months for me..
was a steady pack-aday for about 5-6 years.. and "puffin" anohter 4..
one day decided to quit for.. for no reason.. cold turkey..
surprisingly it worked..

i just puff on black'n'milds once in a while.. dont inhale.. now i remember that the reason why i started was to blow smoke out of my mouth..

Not really, but what is really wierd is i have dreams about smoking. I smoked 1 pack/day for almost 20 years and my friends and family are very happy for me.

One thing you will notice is your sense of smell will come back and you will realize what non-smokers are bitching about.

People say you gain weight when you quit,I say B.s to that in fact smoking what fvcking up my metabolism.

About five months after I quit, Something wierd started to happen to me. I had this nagging cough and tons of phlem was coming up. it tasted like seawater?!?!?

I woke up a couple of unpleasant times gagging on phlem :( So don't be surprised if that happens to you.

I talked to my doctor and he said that the "water" was a protective layer around the alveoli in my lungs to help preventdamage from smoking. He said my body was convinced I stopped smoking and it was time to "shed" the protective layer.

Thankfully that stopped around the sixth month and now i feel great.

If you need inspiration or just want to chat with a fellow ex-smoker drop me a PM and I will give you my contact info.

Good Luck,

Ausm
