I used to go 4-5 times a week. Then school and life decided to butt-in. Im trying to get myself back on track. It's hard after I lost motivation.
heh im like the exact opposite. i STARTED working out in college, and have continued to do so since my graduation last may while working full time.
and i think me being out of the gym for 5 weeks, not by choice, is some of the MOST motivation I have had hehe.

Unfortunately I have no choice but to stay in the gym consistently, I'm a personal trainer. Me no look good, me get no clients. RagingBITCH, taking off 2-3 weeks out of
a year is what you should do, you must be doing something wrong with your routines if you think that made you lose your gains.
how the hell do you do it?

EASY. It goes like this: sit on my ass and study/code/play games (sometimes while drinking soda and/or eating junkfood).

yea dude the worst part is i was probably at my peak in size/strength of my entire life. and the DAY i broke my ankle, was the day i was going to start my lean cycle and start cardio. so i'm at the gym that day and im like 'well i won't do cario here since i'm playing basketball later tonight which will be my cardio.'
and later that night, while playing ball, i broke my ankle 🙁
Damn, 6 times a week would burn most people out. The routine has to be simple enough to keep you motivated, but difficult enough to keep from slacking. I hit the gym 3 times a week (upper body twice, doing different muscle groups; lower body once). I was thinking of adding a fourth day for legs or cardio, but I'm not sure I can manage fitting another day without starting to hate it.Originally posted by: rgwalt
I really enjoy working out, though I can see how I could fall back into the habit of never going to the gym and being less active. Right now I'm going 6 times a week, but it is starting to get tough to make that kind of schedule work.

I'm not the type who becomes invigorated after doing a lot of physical activity. I feel more that I wasted good time that I could've used doing something I enjoy instead of punishing myself with something I hate.

how the hell do you do it? i have been out of the gym for about 5 weeks now w/my broken ankle and i can't WAIT to go back! it is killing me not being able to work out 🙁. next wednesday I go in for xrays and the result SHOULD be that I can walk fine on my ankle. it feels much better now and I can stand and balance on my broken ankle.
i do a little workout at my house w/dumbells 2-3 times a week starting 2 weeks ago, but it isn't NEARLY the same as going to the gym and getting a REAL workout. there is only so much you can do with dumbells, especially since I only have one (but atleast it has adjustable weight.)
heh i just think its funny how some people struggle to get themselves to go to the gym and workout, but i'm just DYING to actually go back ...
1 MORE WEEK!!! (hopefully)

Cut out the Church BS, the results would be well worth it!Originally posted by: FoBoT
i don't make time for it. i have too much stuff to do, work, family, church, etc, etc, etc
the only time i could do it would be early morning, which means going to bed earlier , which means doing less stuff at night before going to bed.
Yeah and that's why you look like the Michelin Man🙂Originally posted by: Electric Amish
