You people admonishing Mill really suck. He's playing enough within the bounds of the rules at this forum that the mods did not intervene on his comment; plus there's far worse said every day here. Do you really want people to start checking their words because they're afraid of having their e-mail or other Internet service counterattacked because they hold a certain opinion?

Why should I have to pull punches just because someone is a reactionary freakshow? Not my problem.

We all already know it's a possibility. This thread changes nothing.

And if you didn't know you can be blasted off the net without being able to do a damn thing about it, return your computer.

Just because one plays within the bounds of the rules, doesn't automatically make it right. If someone said something nasty about someone i cared about, i would be very upset too.

Don't know if you're an American or not but let me say this:

The reason America is great is not because we have the right to free speech but because her citizens know how to use that right effectively enough to not cause hatred and revolution.

For all other nations that have free speech laws the same is true as well.

Why should I be banned? First of all it isn't his wife. Second of all there is no rule against hurting someone's feelings. It wasn't as if I was completely horrible about it. I agreed with another poster, mainly because of oniq and tinkerhell's arrogance and BS that they spout. There's a reason why I NEVER posted pictures of my SO either. I'm not into getting flames(whether they be serious or personal), so I won't set myself up for it. What he did was outside the domain of the forums. I've hardly been posting on this forum because it is going to such sh!t.

No, there isn't a rule about hurting someone's feelings. You weren't the only one in that thread without a shred of class. What he did was completely out of line. What you did just showed everyone what a jerk you can be.

Nah you have no class bro, now you are crying for getting yours, sucks to be you.

That's not "getting yours." Getting yours would be someone making a comment about Mil's girlfriend / boyfriend ;) / wife.

Signing him up for spam is horrible. It's like shooting someone because his dog peed on your flowers.

Can't we all just get along?

And for the person who stated it was Oniq, look at the thread Mill linked. Oniq didn't post in that thread.

That's BS. We are given the right to free speech to effectively incite revolution towards anything we consider wrong.

Good Job CPA for arguing semantics on a statement that I intended to remind people that we should set limits to our free speech if we know it's obviously going to cause problems for ourselves and others. Take your arguments to P&N.

I take it you've never read the posts of oniq or tinkerhell? There's a difference in people being jerks to each other on a message board and spamming someone's e-mail box. It would be akin to you and I calling each other names and then you coming and salting my lawn or trenching my yard. Not even close to being the same thing.

I agree, I've been missing him lately. I think he has another family or board that he's going to. Living two lives. And we're losing out. :( Come home daddy...

There's a PM button above my name, and I have an e-mail address at which someone can send me a non-spam e-mail. If he was upset he can click on either one and tell me so. He doesn't have to try to attempt to be an anonymous coward and spam my box.

Fixed.
