I've tried 'em all. Win 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, 95, 95B, 98, 98SE, ME, and 2k (which I run now with Win98SE). Although 3.11 is my favorite, we'll be realistic. 95-98SE were stable. I had many problems and slow-downs with ME. Win2K is slightly slower, seemingly because of low memory (64MB), but extremely stable. As others have said, some people try WinME and hate it and it sucks, others try it and love it. Same goes for 2K. My suggestion, is try it out, and see for yourself. It may suck, it may not. I think they put in some sort of AI, and if it doesn't like you, it makes it known :p

Roguetech: LOL, I like your sig... sorry to hear about your problems with ME.

Well, I just got done formatting my new computer after Win2k refused to boot up. Decided to go with a dual boot option, ME and 2k. Since the other two comps in my house were ME, I decided to install ME over 98SE... let's pray I won't need to do another format until Whistler comes along...

Hey was there ever a Windows 1.0? The earliest version I had was Windows 2.0, it came on a couple 5 1/4" floppies and was bundled with my Tandon 286 computer. I don't think I even had a mouse back then and only had Hercules monochrome video and 1 meg of RAM. Anyways it ran too slow on that machine and it's funny to hear people still complaining about Windows running too slow on today's ghz monsters.
