ds lite with mario kart, new super mario bros, and the new zelda: phantom hourglass (will come out later this year) and you're set.

I don't.

I wouldn't get a DS Lite, but I'm not really into gaming, so my opinion doesn't mean much.

What you should ask yourself is why not get a DS Lite? Do you have any reasons not get one? If you have the money and get bored on the go, go for it.

I've been asking myself the same question lately. I'm not really into gaming anymore, but there are some neat homebrew apps I might be interested in.

On the day of the release, I got up early in the morning to get one as a surprise for my gf. On her way home from work that day, she stopped by frys and bought the ds lite herself, ruining my surprise. :) We eventually returned the extra ds lite but I was tempted to keep it because its fun as hell.

Cant beat super mario bros. I also hear that you can play mario kart online with other people, which just brings the level of fun to a new level.

I wouldn't get Lunar Dragon Song if I were you. Heard bad things about it. You'll have lots of fun with Castlevania and Advance Wars though!

I was thinking of getting a DS lite, but i was wondering if it was possible to still play WiFi when using backup games. I was thinking of getting the SD card adapter so I can load my games on there so I don't have to carry extra cartridges around.

Also, is there a way to browse the web yet? I know Opera is coming out with a DS browser soon.

I have a gameboy SP (the one that looks like the original NES controller), and am thinking about upgrading to a ds myself.

I already have a DS but will probably get a Lite later on too. My friend's screen is just sooo much brighter.

FF III alone is worth it for me.

You people amaze me. I could NEVER drop over $100 on a handheld system for one game, or even multiple, old games that I've played before on real consoles.

Oh well. Guess that's why I've never owned a handheld in my life besides one Sega Game Gear.

Yep I own a M3 CF version and online play works perfectly on backups. Don't think there's any web out (no official one atleast).

I was moreso referring to bR saying he'd buy one for just one game he really wants. I've never understood that logic.

hehehehehehe....
i've been having fun alright.
i was at my sister's graduation at UCI and brought it along for fun. so i brought my ds lite along and went into pictochat while i was sitting in the auditorium and saw like 5 others inside chatroom A/1 or whatever. it was fun chatting with these lil kids haha. afterwards, in chat, everybody was initiating multiplayer games to play for download play. woo good times.
