Just do us all a favor and don't play Metroid while on the toilet :p (It has voice chat, and we don't need to hear those noises) ;)

Really tempted to pickup a DS Lite and Flash Card, but saving up for Conroe currently. And after than, it's the Wii with at least 5 games at launch. In the meantime, have recently discovered playing backups with the Action Replay on my GC. So have that to tide me over.

Just bought a Lite and Mario Kart DS and New SMB. AWESOME GAMES!! The wifi thing is easy to setup as well, connects to my 128 bit WEP router no problems. Played Mario Kart with some mofos and got worked, but it's all good! :)

New SMB seems pretty cool as well. Need to get Brain Age but it seems to be sold out everywhere around here :(

I bought mine off ebay. no probs.

Did you try to use the brain age coupon alongside, or would that "not valid with any other discounts or offers", clause cause problems?

I didn't even bother with the brainage coupon b/c I know they'd say it's stacking/combining.

I picked up age of empires/tetris/mario kart/big brain academy for 220 inc tax (I think) somewhere around there.

so...wow, nintendo is definitely doing something right.

This is the first time since original super mario brothers/duck hunt that my father, mother and sister have played a videogame and really enjoyed it.

In fact they have been playing big brain academy all day.

I'm getting excited!

oh man, opera looks nice. i'm not so sure about the address input, though, since Brain Age has a lot of trouble recognizing my writing.

If you like Advance Wars: Dual Strike you'll obviously want to check out the tw GBA Advance Wars games, but also the GBA Fire Emblem games. I haven't played them myself, but I'm working on the GCN Fire Emblem game and I like it a lot. I think both Fire Emblem and Advance Wars could both be called tactical RPGs, but Fire Emblem definitely puts more emphasis on the RPG elements. Advance Wars has the concept of experience and levels for the commanding officers, but it's not one of the bigger aspects of the game.

My fiancee stole my original DS.

Damn, guess I'll have to get a DS Lite.

What's the ETA on the colours that don't suck?

you could get one online, if you like to spend money on stuff that isn't available in retail yet. other than that not really sure.

Diddy Kong Racing is coming out for the DS - the days of diddy kong racing on 64 would make me buy a DS lite in a flash. It's all dependent on what types of games you want to play.

In need of a new paperweight, eh?

Seriously. I got a PSP at launch. Played it for a week or 2 and then got an original DS. It's been literally months since I turned on my PSP before this weekend...and that's because my buddy gave me a copy of the Gradius Collection. Even then, I turned that one for like half and hour and was like "meh" and it'll probably remain as a paperweight for a really long time now.

How do you go about getting Opera working on the DS? I picked a Lite a few days ago and I'm having tons of fun with Mario Kart and Metroid online.

What the hell is going on with Nintendo not supporting WPA?

I have had my PSP since launch, and games aren't that great, with exception of Lumines and GTA. There are some good games coming out later this year, with Tekken and of course FF VII Crisis Core.

Just picked up a DS Lite myself. Got NSMB and Tetris DS as well. None of the stores in my area has Mario Kart DS. I thought about getting Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, but don't wanna drop any more money this month. I'll pick up MK DS and M&L:piT next month.

Got mine and love it! Had to go to four different stores to finally get it but I did in the end, I picked up a few games for it

Mario Kart- Haven't really played it yet

Sims 2- You know how that is

Age of Empires: Age of Kings- Kind of hard to get the hang of, need to read the instructions on this one

Brain Age- Havn't played it yet, but I hear good things :)

My final word on this is that if you have the cash and have considered getting one stop considering, just go get one. You won't regret it, the games are great, you can play from all previous consoles, its light, affordable, and loads of fun.:)

Yeah... some guy in France was owning my ass in Mario Kart yesterday. I have to say, it is an excellent system. Paired it with a pair of Hori screen protectors and no worries with scratching it up (and I can't even tell they're on there). I keep my GBA SP around for my original Game Boy carts. But I have to say, the GBA games on the DS Lite screen look gorgeous.

I am addicted to my DS. I play it a lot when I'm sitting around the house. I have 2 levels left in Pac Pix. If you havent played Pac Pix, check it out. Great game and gets very challenging!

Question about Mario and Luigi 2 ... is it like a hardcore RPG and is it turn based fighting?

agreed. I have to play on the top screen, though, because the bottom screen just doesn't seem right when it comes to GBA games.
