Another EA game for Xbox 360. Yay
As far as I know EA only sponsored/published the title, and it's development was untouched by EA.

Do you really think that matters to him?As far as I know EA only sponsored/published the title, and it's development was untouched by EA.
For those who will actually be playing the game and not just complaining about it on the internet, my new gamertag is: Khophace
I usually won't play until after 9pm eastern.

I've never understood brand hatred, the same as I don't understand brand loyalty.
If there's a product that you find value in, purchase it. Does it really matter what the name is on the box?
Yeah, I guess. But one schmuck not playing Titanfall isn't really going to affect anyone but him. He's missing out on the game, whereas EA isn't really missing his business. I'm guessing those people weren't planning on playing the game in the first place, no matter who the publisher is.i can understand it in the sense that if the company has screwed you over before you don't want to give them any more of your money. and i'm sure that has happened for some people with EA such as the whole sim city debacle, and then battlefield 4.
Agreed.but the majority of people hate on ea because it is the cool thing to do.
Oh sure, I get that the company that produces the game might be a red flag... But to outright dismiss it, is plain silly. The thing is for me that EA has taken over rights to certain games and those games have gone down in quality.
Heh, well said. For those who will actually be playing the game and not just complaining about it on the internet, my new gamertag is: Khophace
Feel free to add me too... Wingznut.I won't be able to start playing until Friday but I will add.

For me, I gave up on EA once the Online Pass came out. Origin sealed the deal afterwards. I get that they are a business, but I don't care to buy from a company who makes its products an inconvenience for me. I wouldn't want to get a game used, then have to deal with the online purchasing of the game Online Pass on 360 to boot. Because of that, I haven't bought a retail EA game since 2008 (I bought NBA Jam on my phone with Bing Rewards money, as a "thank you" for eliminating the Online Pass).
Like, I'd consider Titanfall, but I don't feel like having to deal with an Origin account just for it. My opinion, this whole time, has been that I'd play Titanfall if it cam free with my next GPU purchase. MAYBE I'd get a used copy on 360 during the summer, or after I get The Bone.
The general problem has been that EA hasn't released anything that intrigued me in a long time. Crysis looked nice, but "look" is about where I stop caring. NFS has been mostly junk for the past 5+ years, though Rivals would intrigue me if I got a One. I don't care about Battlefield. There's just nothing EA's grabbing my attention with, except maybe Rivals and Titanfall. That I can say that with a straight face through 5+ years of releases says a lot about my opinion of their development teams.
Of course, Crysis and Dead Space are probably plenty fun for some, but I have enough trouble with finishing my games library as it is, so adding those 2 franchises to my backlog wouldn't do me any good, while it would get money into EA's pockets.

Is online pass still a thing from EA or did they abandon it? Also in regard to origin, I've had very few issues with it. Actually I can't name one problem that can be traced to origin software as the culprit. It works the same as Steam for me.
I will say the new Dragon Age game looks great so far. Just hope it turns out as good as it appears now.
No, the Online Pass stuff is gone. As I mentioned, I bought NBA Jam shortly after they made the announcement, just because I was in a good mood about EA. However, they then rushed BF4 to market (resulting in bugs galore), and they apparently worked in a Titanfall exclusivity deal on consoles without Respawn's desire to have that happen. They're a business, but they're one I don't care for.
As for Origin, it's not about having software that's bad. It's about not wanting to have to have a bunch of accounts. I don't want to have a Steam account, a UPlay account, and an Origin account, just to play games on PC (regardless of whether I want to play them online or offline). EA and Ubisoft don't/can't do this with consoles, and it's one of the things that keeps me interested in console gaming--not having to put up with AS MUCH DRM garbage as on PC.
Origin might work just like Steam, but if that's the case, why does it need to exist? I guess they don't like giving Valve (a minor competitor) a cut for distribution, but it's not worth the inconvenience of creating another online account, setting it up, and using that software, just to play Titanfall (the only EA game I would want on PC).

EA and Ubisoft do it to console players as well. If you've played any of their recent games on a console, you have an account with them. The PC side just makes you more aware.
Uplay exists on PS4, you can actually log in and redeem points from achievements to get weapons and such with Assassin's Creed 4.
