Titanfall 2

TItanfall2 is easily a better shooter than the same old same old crap that came out at the same time, but there were just too many shooters at once. BF1, COD: AW, TiF2. Why EA released 2 AAA shooters at the same time is absolutely befuddling.

It feels like Tribes felt back in the day. Its actually fast and there are boatloads of mechanics and strategic depth that puts COD and the like to shame.

I love Bounty Hunt. Super fun game mode. More strategy involved and suspenseful trying not to die when you have a huge cash account and need to deposit it in the bank. If you haven't already, give Bounty Hunt a chance.

every time i tried there's 0 people playing it.
not sure i would get any money as i can barely kill anyone and even if i did, i'd probably die before i made it back to deposit it, lol

I got this on PS4 for christmas, and have been having a lot of fun with it. I still suck, but I'm having fun... which doesn't sound like a big deal but to me it is. I haven't touched a BF or CoD game for a couple years now because I just don't have a lot of time to dedicate to getting better. BF is especially punishing for this reason, but even CoD proves to be tough if you don't play regularly so I get frustrated and just stop. For whatever reason, Titanfall remains fun even when I have a bad round.

Part of it may be the AI "grunts" that serve as easy pickings to get at least some points, but overall it seems like a more entertaining experience. The vertical aspect makes maps more dynamic than other shooters, so I find it easier to get the drop on people since I have more options to get to places. Glad I got it.

I've gotten better at it. I even topped the score on one round.

I just play attrition now. I can see the subtle improvements over the original now. There is a lot more variety in the gameplay for it.

But this is after suffering pretty badly the first few rounds I played. The intro unlocks are pretty gimped. Like, extra play should unlock like something cosmetic like the faction. It shouldn't involve important stuff like shotgun running ability.

Anyone else tried playing Titanfall 2 with a 1GB videocard? Tried out the game with a Radeon HD 7750, which worked surprisingly well except for it would only load in lowest texture settings. Nvidia's own performance guide states that low requires 384 MB, medium requires 640 MB, and high at 1280 MB. I've heard of game updates being an issue, but my R9 270 2GB still runs the game as it should. Perhaps the refuses to budge at 1GB VRAM?

I've also tried config file workarounds and nothing has seemed to work.........

For anyone interested:

Finally finished the campaign on this one. About 6 hours of gameplay for ~$20-25 is fine by me, and it was a good campaign. I'll probably never touch the MP.

I bought this game and am currently playing the campaign. This game is pretty incredible. Man, the single player campaign is top notch and extremely creative and just fantastic. The art work is really stunning. This game deserves way more attention than it got. They have some serious 1st person campaign talent over there.

I'm very early on in the campaign. Need to get back into it and finish it. I played a lot of multiplayer though.

Just finished the campaign. It was so good I watched the credits, all of them. Absolutely unexpected this campaign was. This is a true case of a game not getting enough credit. The team behind the campaign is phenomenal. Absolutely top notch and exhilarating. Way over the top is the best way I can explain it. Its as if they finished the campaign and they felt it was really, really good, but then they said, "OK, now, how can we make this even better?", then repeated that process several times until they just cleared the quality bar by about a mile. The campaign was only about 5 hours long, but worth every penny just for that alone. Seriously. Play the campaign. Seriously. Its one of the very best FPS games I've ever played, as in *ever*.

There's a new update out - free DLC both multiplayer maps and a new single player mission. Anybody played it yet? I busted my internet cap and can't download anything till tomorrow.

WHAT?! Another single player mission? I'm all over that. DLing as soon as I can.

I got this update automatically a few days ago. I didn't finish the campaign yet so I don't know what this extra mission is all about.

I read up on it. It doesn't seem to be a new mission. It appears to be a single mission from the campaign for free for those who don't own the game.

Think I'm on the last mission of the campaign. Will say that I did enjoy it and it was a bit unique. They should have done this with the first game too.
