Titan X Launch

It was in the launch reviews of the Titan that it had a disabled cluster. Nvidia will go pretty far, but they said outright this is the full chip.

I think there will be a faster GM200 based card, whether via putting it on a custom PCB card with 6GB VRAM allowing more OC potential, or via a respin like we saw GK110 get with its B1 iteration we got in the 780ti, Titan Black and some of the later 780s.

Perhaps a combination of both. Right now the Titan X is not hitting the clocks that 980s do and with a respin or just putting it on a more robust PCB we should see that happen.

And this is exactly why I won't buy a Titan ever. It's one thing being beaten by the competition but to be demoted by the same company and chip for 35 to 50 percent less even in custom pcb makes me mad.

I bet nvidia execs all sit around the board room thinking of ways to screw Their die hard customers. They should just include a sticker in the box which says "The way your meant to be screwed" Thanks Nvidia Shareholders

I'll try again on their site once my original order has shipped. I'm not in a super rush to get them. I have other things to do before I can really play with them anyway.

2560 cores, but 8GB 512-bit vram? 😎 jk not a snowball's chance in hell

Think the chip and engineering is impressive. The design/cooler/bios limitations are meh. The price is stupid. This should have been $549 MAX.

I'm not in the market for such a card so I don't really care either way.

Hi AdamK47. I have two Titan X in hand - just arrived from my order to nVidia. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

I have one already from Micro Center. Two more from an order I placed yesterday are showing delivery on Monday. I placed an order for the 4th card. My bank card shows the amount taken, but I haven't received a tracking number for it yet.

I bit. Ordered one to see how well it replaces my GTX980 SLI. Will be nice to not have SLI issues. Going to sell my MSI Gaming 980s now.

IDK, just sold mine right away for 425$, got lots of use out of it for just a couple hundred bucks

Yeah, sold all 3 of mine for same price which I thought is good return (70% of original price). I don't see the price dropping below that for 980s on used market since the the 980 MSRP is still price appropriately compared to Titan X performance and price.

I see them as low as $1300 on ebay. After the paypal and ebay fee and shipping from nvidia you make like $110. Not even sure if this whole thing was worth the effort, lol.

Curious, what games you have SLI issues with? Was the SLI issues with G-Sync enabled too? I'll felt that most SLI frame pacing issues were fixed with G-Sync (ie. if you turned G-Sync off and using SLI, the experience was pretty bad.). The only games that had issues with SLI and G-Sync couldn't fix was BF4, Far Cry 3, and Bioshock Infinite.

and with the chance of getting scammed on eBay? No way in hell that's worth it.
