My 94 Mazda "Ranger" B4000 is rated 16-21.

I get in the high teens on average as when I am on the highway the bed is usually full.

But my last thermostat was stuck open so I have not drove it enough after replacing that to see if it helps much.

2002 Explorer XLT 4x4 with the 4.0L OHC V6 and 5-speed auto.

17/18 around town - 21/22 on the highway. 22 gallon tank.

The truck has 3:73 gears right now. I was thinking of swapping them for 3:55s to see if I could get 24 mpg highway. I think it's doable.

I don't have a reason to own a truck.

Me either.

Me neither!!!!!!!,

...but I still have a Nissan SUV with the 5.6L V8. That thing drinks gas. I think it averages approximately 18 MPG on the highway.

Truck in my head is a vehicle with an open bed in the back. There are practical reasons to own an suv.

99 GMC 1500 Single Cab 4.8L, got 17 MPG using 3 gears. 4 gears 17.5-18.
07 Ford F-150 CrewCab 4.6L, 16.2-16.8 MPG.
Probably no more than 40% highway usage.

My 1993 Silverado Z71 has 202K on it and pulls in a consistent 9-10 mpg. I got 14 on the highway with a snowmobile in the bed.

I only need to fill up like once a month so I don't really care if it doesn't get good mileage.

I got almost 21 doing two full tanks of 99% highway in my 3.2 rodeo. It needs an oil change soon too.

The Ram in my sig, about 17-18 MPG highway and anywhere from 10-13 MPG around town depending on the time of year and how much stop and go is involved.

I can squeeze 22 out of my xJ on the highway but its usually 14-15 city driving.
My CJ gets around 14 mpg but its running pretty rich right now. I need to readjust the carb.

2004 Silverado 4x4 Z71 - Regular Cab Short Bed - 5.3L V8 - 19MPG on the highway. Could probably get 20MPG if I kept it around 65Mph.

It usually gets 17MPG with 50/50 driving mix. It's been data-logged tuned with EFI Live and has a K&N drop in and magnaflow catback exhaust.

Surprisingly my 2000 Mazda Millenia gets 17MPG on the same mix with it's 2.5L V6. It's in need of a tune up, an oxygen sensor, and knock sensor. It runs pig rich 24/7.

1997 Dodge Ram 4x4. 360 small block. I'm getting a little over 13 mpg mixed. I can pull 17-18 on the highway if I'm easy on it. City driving nets me 9-10 mpg.
